The village of Defynnog is home to a friendly pub, the International Welsh Rarebit Centre, and the ancient Defynnog Yew. Just a little further north, Sennybridge (1 mile) has a choice of great pubs and is the site of the remains of Castell Ddu. To the east, walkers can enjoy the views from Cefn Llechid (1.5 miles). Heading further into the Brecon Beacons, the majestic Pen Y Fan (9 miles) is the highest peak in South Wales, and Llangorse Lake (16.5 miles) is a popular spot for boating, birdwatching and water sports. The thriving market town of Brecon (10 miles) is known for its medieval cathedral.
Entering this stylishly decorated property, you will find the thoughtfully organised kitchen with exposed stonework and a welcoming country atmosphere. Find all you need here to cook up Welsh feasts for your loved ones, who can gather in the charming dining room to enjoy the chef’s work. After dinner, head through to the lounge where group movie nights are made easy thanks to the crackling wood burner, Smart TV and soft seating.
