"Beautiful bed & breakfast. Very homely. Staff was very kind and generous. They let us store our bags after check out & we spent some time at the place while waiting for our train. Had access to WC, tea/ coffee. The place was very clean. Breakfast & dinner are included. The dinner was delicious. They even accommodated our request for a vegetarian dinner- beetroot soup, mushroom risotto & dessert! Only note - It’s a good 10 - 12 min walk from the ferry/ train station. You have to carry your suitcases over steps (the staff kindly helped with that). And the room/ bathroom is very tiny - barely room to open the bags. "

"5-Star Experience with a Minor Setback We’ve stayed at many 5-star hotels abroad, and this one truly stands out. The overall vibe was warm and welcoming, with beautiful design choices that complemented the surrounding mountains perfectly. Our room, located on the second floor and facing the water, offered a stunning view — opening the windows in the morning was such a refreshing and peaceful experience. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and spotless. Everything felt clean, cozy, and like home. Even the hallways and lobby spaces were inviting and well thought out. Breakfast was another highlight — you can choose from both a menu and a buffet, or enjoy a bit of both. The variety and quality were excellent, and we left each morning feeling satisfied and happy. We only had two minor issues during our stay. First, the coffee machine broke during breakfast one morning, but the staff was quick to make fresh coffee for everyone. They were so sweet and attentive — truly impressive service. The second issue was with the parking. We had a spot when we arrived but left for dinner, and upon asking, the host assured us we’d still have a space when we returned since it was a slower evening. Unfortunately, when we came back, the lot was full. The host mentioned that two cars shouldn’t have been parked there but couldn’t do anything, as they don’t track which cars belong to guests. "Had a great stay at Gudvangen Fjordtell. The location is amazing and the people were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here and not in Flam. Cruise ships cannot come into the fjord that far, so at night it is very peaceful. Easy access back and forth to Flam via the shuttle bus, or by boat. "

"Undeniably a gorgeous location! Communication was a problem but only at 1st. The Expedia message did not work. You have to use WhatsApp to contact them about the door code. Parking is scary if other cars are there. It's a tight squeeze to go anywhere in Undredal though. It's a one-way road, in and out. I will never forget that view though! It was definitely worth the sketchy drive!"
