"We were only there for one night after visiting Puy du Fou. It was absolutely fine. Nothing fancy, but the bedding was clean, the bathroom was clean and the staff were friendly."

"This is a great B&B, really well appointed old french farmhouse. We stayed in the smaller room which had a great shower, was quiet and warm. My only small issue is that I would have preferred a bigger bed.

"ROOM 44 - poor cleaning, window that doesn't close properly because it's ruined, but above all insects (ants and various flying insects) that come in and hang around on you and on the blankets.
After that I slept in the car from midnight to 4... I will not return to this establishment..
I would have asked for a room change but the reception closes at 11pm and there is no one there until 5am.."

"We were on a cycling trip. Check in was easy and the staff very helpful in locking away our bikes in a secure location. The beds were very comfortable and showers hot! Breakfast was standard continental with plenty of food available. Located a little out of town centre and surprisingly quiet.

"Lovely quiet position with a large balcony overlooking the castle ruins. Quiet and very comfortable Queen bed and large room. The shared kitchen was spacious and well equipped and having breakfast prepared and left for us at a time of our choice was a bonus. Lovely couple greeted us and were very helpful giving us directions to the castle.Easy car parking outside and wifi."
"It is our fourth time in la Barbinière. Really lovely hotel. Nice pool area. Nice restaurants. And nice rooms. Conveniently located for us going from Toulouse to Normandy. Our holiday starts in la Barbinière!"

"Auberge hyper tranquille à 10 mn du puy du fou. Lieu ideal pour se reposer la nuit apres une journee de marche. Piscine à l'extérieure. Pas tres grande mais suffisant. Diner pris au restaurant de lauberge, tres bon, de qualité. Petit dejeuner idem."

"We filled the chateau with 26 people, aged from 2 to 80, and it never felt overcrowded. Lots of lovely old furniture, but new good quality bedlinen and towels. Very clean. We mostly cooked for ourselves, and the kitchen was well-equipped for such numbers. Outside, there's a new tennis court by the pool, both are great. (The free-standing pool in the main photo has been replaced by a much better one, and the badminton/volleyball court is no longer there). The outside dining furniture has also been upgraded from the white plastic in the photos and was very nice. It was perfect for Puy du Fou but also in a lovely area to explore - though we mostly stayed at home to enjoy the facilities. One thing to note - the pool and tennis are 'communal' which means you may be sharing them with another large party in the other half of the chateau. With a bit of polite communication that was not a problem, especially with so much fine weather."

"Perfect for overnight stop en route South or North. Lovely lady (owner?) Rooms recently decorated and so so so clean...bathroom spotless. Restaurant on site...was able to sit outside. Formula evening menu which is great when you don't want to spend too mush.
Great nights sleep and lovely breakfast, the lady owner constantly re freshing items on breakfast buffet, tidying and wiping the surfaces. Thank you for a great stay."
"Almost everything about the chateau met our expectations and above. The approach to the building itself is lovely and the accommodation was also wonderful - very original and well thought out. We dined at the brasserie one evening which was lovely. It was low key with mainly sharing boards but we like that. The breakfast was a buffet and a number of the offerings were empty or nearly empty on the first morning as we were shortly before 9am, which was a disappointment but we arrived early on the second morning and everything was available. Breakfast was simple but pleasant. The staff everywhere were very helpful and friendly. "
