Bayside Geelong Hotel & Apartments, an Ascend Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The room (including the bathroom) was large, clean and spacious with a large, comfortable bed. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Plenty of street parking nearby, which was free overnight - also on site secure paid parking available. "
"We were awakened in the middle of the night by a very caustic odor and left prior to 5am as one of us was almost unable to breathe. A petrol station attendant told us the Geelong area has strong odors from the Gas Plant when the wind blows a certain way. Recovery time from this gas attach was about three hours of burning eyes and throat. Not hotels fault but would never stay there again."
"No room cleaning during public hoilday
Parking is a bit expensive
Air-conditioning is hard to operate
Guest with the children is very noisy and stumping on the floor
Loud music from next door neighbor

"Good price, but Unfortunately, my stay was not very comfortable due to several issues with the room.
First, the room faces the main road and is very noisy. There are also three air-conditioning units on the balcony, which generate significant noise. The sliding balcony door cannot be locked properly and has gaps, so it does not block out the sound from the road or the AC units.
The air conditioner inside the room blows air with an unpleasant fragrance. The refrigerator is also very noisy — We was woken up several times during the night — and it does not cool effectively.
In addition, the soundproofing in the room is poor. I was disturbed at night by noise from other rooms and the hallway.
The clothes hangers in the room were also quite dirty.
I hope the hotel can improve these issues for future guests.
