Das Hotel Sunstar Brissago hat eine wunderschöne Lage und insgesamt hat mir der Aufenthalt gut gefallen. Das Hotel ist jedoch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer waren sauber und das Personal freundlich. Die Betten waren für meinen Geschmack zu weich, das Schlafsofa zudem stark durchgelegen und sollte ersetzt werden. Leider wurde mein Aufenthalt von einer sehr negativen Erfahrung überschattet. Nach dem Verzehr eines Oktopus-Burgers im Hotelrestaurant bekam ich in der Nacht heftiges Erbrechen und starken Durchfall. Da ich an diesem Tag ausschliesslich im Hotel gegessen hatte und die Beschwerden nach rund 24 Stunden wieder abklangen, liegt für mich der Verdacht nahe, dass sie mit dem Essen zusammenhingen. Enttäuscht hat mich vor allem der Umgang des Hoteldirektors. Anstatt den Vorfall ernst zu nehmen, verwies er auf das HACCP-System und meinte, es könne auch ein Virus oder etwas vom Baden im See gewesen sein. Zudem wurde betont, dass der Burger bereits nicht verrechnet worden sei. Mir ging es jedoch nie ums Geld, sondern um einen professionellen und empathischen Umgang. Auch fiel mir auf, dass das Restaurant abends jeweils nur sehr schwach besucht war. Schade, denn die tolle Lage hätte eigentlich eine bessere Bewertung verdient. Der Umgang mit meiner Reklamation hat den Aufenthalt jedoch nachhaltig getrübt.

Das Zimmer war sauber und hat viel Platz geboten. Im Hotelzimmer ist ein top modernes Bad und eine Klimaanlage. Der Pool draussen sowie auch drinnen war sehr toll! Ein paar wenige Liegestühle hat es am Pool, leider oft schnell besetzt. Das Morgenessen war spitze, tolle Auswahl der Menus und kann auch nachbestellt werden. Alles in allem extrem toll, gerne wieder!

Unterkunft verfügt über eine kostenpflichtige Tiefgarage und ein Parkdeck, wodurch Parken easy ist. Die Unterkunft selbst ist sehr hübsch und modern, lediglich die Zimmer sind in den 90er oder 00ern stehen geblieben, das Bad war dafür top modern und auf dem neusten Stand :-) Das Essen sowie das Frühstück sind hervorragend und durchaus empfehlenswert! Frühstück ist a la carte dabei

Bel hôtel tout confort. Situation et installations exceptionnelles. Vue époustouflante sur le lac Majeur. Excellent petit-déjeuner avec un bon choix de produits. Le personnel est sympathique et chaleureux. Gros bémol pour un hôtel de ce standing, il n’y a pas de climatisation même si une climatisation d’appoint peut être obtenue sur demande.
