Cedar Creek Golf Course at Beavers Bend ~ 8–10 miles
An 18‑hole public golf course on the shores of Broken Bow Lake, with beautiful pine‑rimmed fairways and wooded surroundings. Some holes offer views of the lake, and you may even spot wildlife (deer, wild turkey, maybe eagles) as you play. Course amenities include a pro shop, cart & club rentals, and a driving range / putting green.
Water & River Activities: boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing & more (through Beavers Bend / Marina) ~ 7–9 miles, depending on access point
The park and nearby marina enable boating (pontoon, jet‑ski), canoe/kayak or paddle‑board rentals, and guided or solo water adventures on the river or lake. Trout fishing in the Mountain Fork River is a highlight; for lake fishing: bass, crappie, catfish.
Family & Leisure Activities: hiking, mini‑golf, horseback‑rides, nature center & museums within Beavers Bend area ~ 7–9 miles (inside park or nearby entertainment‑facilities)
Besides outdoors & water, the area offers a diverse set of activities: hiking trails (some challenging, some gentle), a nature center and museum focusing on forestry history, cabins & campgrounds, and fun options like mini‑golf, paddle‑boats, rental boats, and horseback rides.

We loved staying at Retro Retreat. When we arrived, everything was thoughtfully put together from the decor to the extras needed to make the stay relaxing. We enjoyed viewing the stars through the outdoor dome in the evening when we first arrived. Throughout the stay, our family enjoyed playing pool and board games. We relaxed in the mornings with some workouts and enjoyed soaking in the hot tub. We had fun roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. The location was nearby other neighbors yet felt secluded with the open state park behind. I would definitely recommend Retro Retreat to any one considering a location and especially with Home Team. This is our second stay on their properties by chance and found their attention to detail on point.
