About this property
Twisted Oak - Charming Cabin Hideaway
Twisted Oak is a cozy, upscale barn-style cabin tucked away in the woods on 1 acre of land in Winding Creek, a newer development down a quiet country road where you'll enjoy sunsets off the spacious back porch with no next-door neighbors. The cabin is 10 min. from the heart of Hochatown and Lake. It is outfitted for a private couple's retreat or small family getaway, including modern appliances, double-headed shower, grill, bunk nook, hot tub, fire pit, 2 fireplaces, games, and foosball table.
With its clean white shiplap interior, large marble island, functional barn door, and accents of blue and green buffalo check, Twisted Oak was inspired by barn-style living and southern charm. It has a cozy but spacious aesthetic, with a large back porch that faces the sunset. It is brand new (finished February 2023). The cabin sleeps up to 5.
Twisted Oak is perfect as a couple's hideaway with its master suite (King Bed and attached bathroom with 2 sinks, double-headed shower, and bathtub), but is also ready for small families, as it also includes a cozy bunk nook (with 3 high bunks) equipped with games off the main living space.
The outdoor living space is quiet and spacious, and includes ample outdoor seating, outdoor gas fireplace, an outdoor smart TV, grill, hot tub, and child-proof stairwell down to our firepit where you can make s'mores and look at the stars at night. The large circle drive leading to the cabin provides ample space for parking and even towing a boat in the summertime!

This house was located off the main highway in Hochatown, very close to nice restaurants and shops. Super clean property, efficient communication, five stars overall - loved our stay!
This cabin felt so big with the vaulted ceilings. The gas fireplaces was a nice touch in the winter months. Everything is clean and fresh throughout. We would definitely stay here again.
Property looked even better in person than online. Location was wonderful… away but centrally located to main attractions. Beautiful cabin! Definitely will return to same cabin
It was a very relaxing and peaceful weekend. I’m happy that I went with this cabin. I will be recommending this cabin and the rental company for my friends and family get togethers
We really enjoyed our stay for Christmas and my birthday. Very clean and adequately stocked. The kids loved the bunks! The owner was VERY good at communication and quickly responded every time. Very beautiful location.
Family of 5 had a great time! Location was perfect for quick drives to hiking trails, Hochatown and the like. The house feels secluded due to the trees surrounding it which was nice. Girls loved the bunk beds and back porch. The hot tub after long days of hiking was great.
Such a wonderful place. Communication with owner was fantastic. Loved the cabin and hot tub. Weather wasn’t great but it was so peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely stay here again.
The property was nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay except for the continued construction in the neighborhood. Once this is done the location will be a nice quiet getaway. Would recommend.
We frequent Broken Bow/Hocha twice annually and have stayed in numerous cabins. We would definitely choose to stay here again. We have no grievances to report. The road leading to the cabin is rough, but this is understandable given the community's rapid growth in BB/Hocha. However, this detail was communicated in advance. The cabin itself was clean, charmingly decorated, and comfortable. The owner has thought of every detail, and their thoughtful gesture of leaving a gift for us was greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Our stay was amazing from the time we booked it to the time we checked out. The host was easy to work with. They were hyper communicative! They took every detail into account from the accuracy of the listing to the check our process. As for the place it was quaint and roomy. It was surrounded by dense woods on three sides so we didn’t even see anyone else around. The highlight of every day was being greeted be several deer every morning on the back patio. We spent every moment on that patio either enjoying the fireplace or the hot tub. This was exactly what we needed and are so glad that we chose to stay here.
PS: We loved the complimentary souvenir cups!
We recently stayed at this beautiful cabin in Broken Bow and had a wonderful time. The cabin is cozy with one bedroom and a large bathroom. Our kids loved the three-tier bunk beds. The smart TVs on the porch, living room, and bedroom were perfect for our family movie nights. The large 4-person hot tub was a hit, providing a great way to relax after a day of exploring.
The fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and we appreciated the privacy of the backyard. The fire pit with free logs was a lovely touch, making our evenings around the fire memorable. The foosball table and the variety of board games provided endless entertainment for our family.
Overall, the cabin was well-maintained, comfortable, and had all the amenities we could ask for. We highly recommend this place for a family getaway!
We had a wonderful family vacation! Twisted Oak was the perfect place to stay for our family- Dad, Mom and 3 kids (7-11). One of the most important things when choosing a place to stay is cleanliness. We have kiddos with severe allergies to pets and products/perfumes. We had zero problems and they were able to enjoy their home away from home. This location was perfect- central, but off the main road just enough. We spent our time boating, kayaking, and exploring the lake as well as town (mining, animal rescue, food) and could get everywhere quickly. No time wasted driving! Check in and out were super easy. This cabin was beautiful! We enjoyed the space inside and out. Loved the hot tub right off the living space. Fans were great and kept all the possible bugs away!
We will definitely be back!
If you’re looking for peace and quiet and rest and relaxation, look no further than Twisted Oaks. Off the main road about 2 and 1/2 miles seems a bit far until you get there and realize the drive is more than worth it. Nestled in a forest of trees is this beautiful barn-style cabin. Kitchen was loaded with everything you need. Huge bathroom with walk-in shower. Comfortable king size bed. Spent a lot of time on the patio doing steaks on the gas grill and watching the outdoor tv. Weather was perfect. This place is close to everything. Pics don’t do it justice. We hope to be back soon. This is new construction area. Road is a bit ruff. Bring your truck or jeep.
cabin.
Our first time to this area to see the lake and color changes in Eastern Oklahokma. The house was right there at Hochatown so very convenient to everything. This house is about 2.5 miles of rougher dirt roads with potholes so be aware of that. Also, due to the sheer number of homes around this house, the amount of traffic on that dirt road causes a lot of dirt to be stirred up and in many cases, we could not see the car in front of us. Everyone's car has a layer of this fine dirt on it as well as outside porches. The house and area it is in is very pretty woods, but again be aware that on weekends, the majority of the homes are VRBO's so lots of traffic in and out plus new construction. The outside deck area needed the table to be cleaned but the deck area is also nice as it gives you a feel of being really secluded.
The hosts were so communicative through email, the cabin was absolutely wonderful, and we made some really great memories for our anniversary. We already have plans to return to this charming property!
