Peaceful Getaway Spot

The property was everything that we were hoping for. The lake is beautiful and peaceful, and the cabin worked very well for us. It was the ideal place for us to relax for a week.

Anniversary Weekend Getaway

We absolutely love staying here for our anniversary. This has been our third year staying at Hohman lake (second in this cabin) and we absolutely relax and enjoy our time together. We look forward to this all year long,!

Romantic cabin

A wonderful secluded cabin back in the woods on a lake. Very comfortable, clean and well kept. Great views from multiple decks, to look out over the lake. Perfect get away.

Perfect Cozy Cabin!

This cabin exceeded our expectations! The host was so polite and quick to answer any questions we had. The location was so peaceful. Relaxing hideaway.

Beautiful lakefront propery. We enjoyed sitting on the dock watching the sunset. Had a wonderful thunderstorm and sat on the covered deck taking it all in. I traved from Alaska , it was 110% worth it.

Weekend Refresh

Got away for a peaceful weekend trip! The bottom dock was amazing!!! We sat there most of our trip, enjoying our morning coffee, soaking up the rays, and watching the sunset. We have stayed at other places around Hohman Lake but this is our favorite! Thank you again!

Beautiful, peaceful and cozy!

My husband and I booked this beautiful property to celebrate his birthday, and it was absolutely wonderful! The view of the lake is amazing, it was so quiet and peaceful - we saw cranes, ducks and turtles in the lake. Loved the bar / gazebo in the backyard and the dock, the fireplace was so lovely and the property was spotlessly clean! The owners were so kind and left a balloon and a birthday card and some chocolate for my husband, made him smile big time! :) We can't wait to go back!

Honeymoon

PERFECTION!!! The cabin and the location were exactly what my husband and I were looking for! We were bummed that the recliners on the back porch that were pictured weren't there, but that's a minor letdown. The calm, peace, and quiet of our weekend was fabulous. The hottub was wonderful! Some ziploc bags or plastic storage containers would be an added perk for storing leftovers.

Wonderful

The cabin was great for the 2 of us. The hot tub was just what we needed. The road to the cabin is a little underdeveloped and very curvy, which is a little hard to navigate, especially at night. But other than that, everything was great. If there was a swing instead of the patio table on the back porch it would have been perfect. We would definitely rent it again.

Wonderful place

We just wanted a nice, quiet place that was out of the way that had a hot tub. This was the place! It was very clean, had a gas fireplace, a nice kitchen island we put a puzzle together on and all the appliances you could think of. Communication with the host was great and we appreciated that very much. The roads could be a challenge in bad weather and this is a neighborhood. You do have neighbors but, we pretty much stayed inside our in the hot tub. It was amazing. And yes, we would stay here again!

Nice Quiet Getaway

Very nice and clean cabin. Easy check-in with good communication from our hosts. We loved the hot tub and fireplace! We went kayaking on the lake one morning. Beautiful lake views. If you like to fish, this would be a wonderful place to stay. It's also good if you just want to relax. We drove into Metropolis, home of Superman! Its just a few minutes away and a very interesting little town. There are lots of places to eat in Metropolis and Paducah. Both are a short drive away. The gravel road around the lake is a little rough and hilly, so be prepared for that. Overall, a very nice stay.

Relaxing and quiet weekend!

We loves this property, the views, the hot tub, the location was all perfect for the two of us! Only complaints we had included the road to get to our cabin-practically driving down a muddy lane with a ridiculous amount of deep pot holes! And the only other thing we didn't like was the firmness of our bed. It was very hard-almost felt like we were sleeping on the floor. Otherwise this property was great! Waking up to the beautiful lake view each morning was terrific! Thank you for a great stay!!

Beautiful and Relaxing

The cabin and location was amazing and very peaceful. We truly enjoyed our stay. The only complaint was the sitting with the outside chairs. I was sitting around the fire and all of a sudden the chair just broke and I was then looking at the stars....lol. Nothing was hurt but had a good laugh...after that we had to bring chairs from the deck to sit. Other then that our stay was amazing and allowing us to get in an hour early really was great.

Great long weekend stay to hike in the area for Shawnee National Forest.

Great place to stay within a decent drive to Shawnee National Forest. Nice hot tub to relax after a long day hiking with the family.
