"First things first, when I arrived nobody was at the desk so I dashed the number provided on a sign for assistance and staff seemed annoyed and was told rudely to wait. Okay, whatever, I waited, no biggie. Second, I get the room and immediately see baby roaches in the bathroom and by the bed by the window. Then I went to shower and there were no towels. Called the front, no answer. Went to office, again no staff. Then went to check out, window thing was down, no staff. Couldn’t tell them what was wrong. Wouldn’t recommend a stay here. "
The Lasalle Hotel, Bryan College Station, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I stayed at The LaSalle Hotel for my best friend’s wedding, and the experience was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the customer service stood out — every staff member, including housekeeping, greeted me each time I entered or exited the hotel. Their kindness felt genuine and consistent throughout my stay.
They also went above and beyond with small gestures that made a big difference. When they noticed we brought in food, they immediately offered paper plates and utensils without us even asking. It’s rare to find that level of attentiveness.
The onsite food and drinks were great, and the recent renovation of the hotel is beautiful — modern, stylish, and very well done. The entire property feels refreshed and welcoming.
Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend The LaSalle Hotel to anyone visiting Bryan."
"First off, upon arrival, they informed me that they require a $50 cash deposit. Prior to giving them the deposit, they send you to inspect the room that you’re getting. To get the deposit back, they sent somebody to inspect it when you’re trying to check out. It took me almost 45 minutes to check out because of this. The room had a dank smell, and the furniture was very rickety. There are no door hangers, so if the housekeepers come by to change your towels out or anything, they will just open the door. I never did find an ice machine, the microwave did not heat food. The towels are old and hard. There’s no guide for the TV channels. Sure this place was cheap, but for another 10 bucks a night I’m sure you could get something much better, and you won’t have a surprise $50 cash deposit. Now for that deposit, if you don’t have cash, they do have ATM machine with a four dollar surcharge in the lobby."
"It wasn’t too bad for the price. Our fridge was broken and it smelled terrible like an electrical fire. So we asked if we could put it outside our door because it smelled up our room. It stayed outside our door for the entire three days we were there. Good thing we brought a cooler or else our food we brought would have went bad. The hair dryer was melted and not usable. We had to make our own beds. The WiFi was hard to connect to as well it would connect and then randomly drop out of now where. The fold out couch beds were pretty bad. They were thin and the springs were poking you. We fixed that though with extra blankets lol. With that said though it was cleanish and thank god there was no bugs. It was quiet and the shower was nice. We had a great working AC. Like I said though for the price we got it at and how long we stayed it wasn’t too bad at all. Just giving more of a heads up. I’ve definitely stayed at worse."
"Absolutely disgusting
I cannot believe Hilton has there name on this
Charged more than Expedia booked for. Hair in shower would not let us check in early. Rude staff. Will NEVER stay there again.
Dirt all over floors no carpet. "
