We spent 6 days at this lovely home and enjoyed the relaxed setting. Quiet location and just a short walk to Bryson City's main street and train station. So many sights to see in the area plus a very comfortable and Cozy home!
Great location, and very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub after rafting. This is just minutes away from the train depot and downtown Bryson city. Will definitely stay here again.
Super close to downtown. Property manager answered questions quickly and was really nice. Really convenient for anyone staying for the Polar Express train. Perfect place for a small family to stay. Loved the covered hot tub porch!
Explored the area parks and Bryson City. Tubing and hiking were fun. Just wish we had more time. Our place was plenty big and very nice. Thanks to our host.

Disliked: Location
Nice interior but not much curb appeal
Photos are very accurate in terms of the interior which was clean and spacious. The neighborhood was very run down and didn’t feel very safe. The hot tub was functional but needed to be maintained a bit (chemicals)
Home is an older home but not in a bad way. More in a nostalgic way. We loved it. I love the wooden floors and the doors that separate the kitchen from the living room. Wish the fireplace was in use but other than that we loved having coffee on the porch and smelling the cool mountain air. We will stay again in the future!

Before you make your decision go to google maps and review the street scape. It is in an area with a bunch of trailers. I didn’t mind that so much. But there was a disturbance when we arrived at the trailer across the street. 5 cop cars were called. I called the owner. She was very prompt in her reply. She called the police department and found that it was a domestic situation. She was very good at communication. But it still made us very wary. There is also a lot of dogs yapping from time to time.
The home was clean. It’s needing a little TLC. Drippy faucets. Storm door broken. Needs some trimming of landscaping. But it sure is close to town. I wouldn’t walk though. It’s a narrow street with no sidewalk and a lot of traffic.
The interior of the house is dated but, clean. I noticed that a few other reviews stated that the home was not clean. We did not find that to be the case. It could use an overhaul of interior updates however, it was a clean place to lay our heads take a shower. Although we didn’t cook most of the necessities seemed to be there. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star on all categories is the fact that you can walk to Bryson city at your own risk. There are no sidewalks and to no fault of the property owner vehicles fly up and down that road so we didn’t chance it. The neighborhood made me a little skeptical at first but it is very quiet and seemed perfectly safe. Overall it was a good stay.
5/5 Stars – Perfect Cozy Stay in the Heart of Bryson City!
We had an amazing stay at this charming cottage! The location is unbeatable—just a short and easy walk to downtown Bryson City and the railway. We visited for the Polar Express and had a wonderful time. Even my elderly stepfather, who struggles with stairs and walking, was able to make the trip effortlessly. This is a classic small mountain town with a mix of older homes, which adds to its charm. If you’re expecting modern luxury homes, this isn’t the area—but the cottage itself is like visiting Grandma’s house in the best way. It’s quaint, cozy, and so welcoming. The house was immaculately clean, which is a big deal for me. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The host even left us holiday shortbread cookies, which was such a sweet touch! There’s also a hot tub, Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and little extras like a foosball table and games. We brought my parents’ dogs along, and it was such a relief to have a pet-friendly place where they could join us. The host was kind and accommodating, and while we didn’t need anything during our stay, I felt confident they’d have helped if we had. This cottage was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. It’s reasonably priced, incredibly close to everything, and just felt like home. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we visit Bryson City. Highly recommend!Thank you for a wonderful stay!
My wife recently lost her dad to cancer, then almost immediately after, her mom found out she had cancer also. After battling cancer for a year, her mom is now cancer free. Needless to say, after a few rough years, we decided it was time for a short vacation, and in a way, a celebration. We brought her mom along with us and the three of us and our fur baby had the most wonderful time. We were pleased with the condition of the house. Everything worked as it should with no problems at all and my wife and mother-in-law kept commenting on how cute it was. Everything we needed was stocked and ready to go. We chose to drive into town, but you could definitely walk it in a couple of minutes. I had a small mix-up with the reservation that was completely my fault. Susan responded quickly and was more than happy to help get things sorted. We would absolutely recommend this listing to anyone wanting to visit Bryson City.
The house was older but very clean and comfortable. It is convenient to town and the Polar Express. It was very cold when we were there and it was nice to come back to a cozy spot. We enjoyed our stay!
Great home, especially if you're doing a trane ride. The host and housekeeping staff were exceptional. They responded to even the minor issue we had connecting to wifi late in the evening.
Quaint little house that was great and comfortable. So cute and stocked. Close to town. Hot tub was great!!! I will definitely return again!!! Owner was great in communication.
House was extremely clean & location was very convenient. Only thing I would recommend is some better landscaping & owner should provide more toilet paper & paper towels.
