"Fabulous stay 7/1-7/4 to celebrate! The room was clean and tidy. The location cannot be beat! Lakeside with walkout rooms facing the lake. Try to get a 1st floor lakeside room. Small sandy swim area for kiddos, fantastic sunsets and cute souvenir shop in the lobby. Close to town and the parks. Very helpful, courteous staff that try hard to make your stay comfy. We'd definitely come back when visiting the area."
Boarders Inn & Suites by Cobblestone Hotels - Munising
8/10 Good
"The room was a nice size and our room was very conveniently located near the lobby and the exit to the parking lot, but the facility is in need of some renovation. There was crumbling tiles and a faint musty odor, but overall it was a good stay!
There was an indoor pool and hot tub (which we didn’t use, sadly)!"
"The cabin was perfect for privacy but still an ideal location for area sights. It was very clean and still appears to be a new/updated residence. We enjoyed the fire pit on cool evenings and appreciated the AC inside after long days of hiking in the heat. The host was so sweet to leave us cookies as well! This was a wonderful stay."
"Rooms very clean and all the necessities. Breakfast was good with a variety, Nice bean to coffee machines in the lobby. Beautiful view and easy, free parking."
"If you need a clean place to lay your head and take a hot shower, this is great. They are very dog friendly, which is nice. Host was very responsive and helpful. This is the first property I’ve ever stayed at that the host didn’t expect you to clean the whole place yourself before leaving. This cabin is just a short drive to Munising, which seemed to be the closest town there was. There is one little restaurant/bar just a few minutes down the street but that’s about it. There is wifi, which is good because there is ZERO cell service (as in as soon as you start to back away from the cabin you better have your maps already loaded) . Our first time in the UP, and if it’s yours too, be aware the bugs are CRAZY (at least in late June early July). Invest in bug spray before you arrive, you’re gonna need it!"
"The place was clean and had *almost* everything we needed. I thought the fridge would have a small freezer for our ice packs. We wanted to be able to pack a cooler bag for the day but had no way to keep our ice packs frozen. I also would have liked some basic instructions for the washer/dryer unit. We would definitely stay here again but we would choose a unit not so close to the hwy."
"The room was clean for the most part, shower needed a little more care. The bathroom was a little dated, and the water saving shower head was difficult at best. But the property overall qas great, loved the views from the deck and the open green space in back! Would have loved a fire pit though. I would go back!"
"The location of the cabin was excellent for us. We appreciated the great sign at the turn in as it made it very easy to find even in the dark. It is close to Munising and the Pictured Rocks National Seashore. It is very easy in and out to get where you want to go. You get the feeling of being remote while really just being minutes from so many places. There is a large yard and plenty of parking. It is a really cute cabin and had plenty of room for our party. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed the ambience of the fireplace in the chilly evenings. We had an issue with mosquitos but understand that mosquitos are just part of being in Michigan and the UP. Make sure to take repellent. The mosquitos were so thick we did not get to enjoy the firepit. The host is very responsive. We would stay here again."
