"Not your ordinary bed-and-breakfast, this place was exceptional! It is true that they stopped serving breakfast quite some time ago, but the kitchen is fully equipped for anything that you may want to make, so make sure that you bring the bacon and eggs along. The dining and kitchen areas are shared with one other guest room, so if you are looking for a private getaway, this may not be a good fit for you, but I enjoyed the beautiful living space and my interactions with the hosts, which reside on a separate portion of the home. The bedroom had an amazing view of the lake, as did the shared dining and kitchen area, and I had plenty of privacy and space in my bedroom and bathroom area. There are lots of pictures on the wall, and it was interesting to learn the story behind these photos, as they are of family of the hosts. The intention of this lodging is to make guests feel at home in a family environment, and I absolutely did! There was plenty of silverware, utensils, dishes, spices, etc. and all I needed to do was bring the food that I wanted to cook. My day had all of the amenities that I needed, and I had plenty of privacy for when I wanted it, and the opportunity to socialize when I wanted to do that. The price and location were amazing for this trip!"
"Hot tub and pool closed when arrived. Ask for partial refund said no, did offer to cancel room but had been driving for 10 hours. The hotel was very nice other than pool and hot tub being closed. Very clean. Breakfast was ok"
"Room was clean, beds were comfortable. However you could hear everyone outside in the hallway, not those quietly walking by but def. people talking in a normal voice or louder. Thankfully, it was middle of winter and not too many people were there anyway. Would probably stay again. "
"Was there for snowmobile trip, only stayed 1.5 days of my planned 3 day trip, due to the incoming blizzard. Overall the place was nice. Only issue is the snowmobile trailer parking they advertise. Well its no good, and you can barely get to it with how they plow the snow. and once I was back there it was hard to get turned around and get back out. They do have ample parking, but where they want you to park you trailer just isint going to work. I think they should revisit their plans for parking, but otherwise a nice place to stay. "
"Overall a great stay! We stayed during the record blizzard a week ago. We were due to check out on Monday and after packing up our stuff and trying to head out for a snowmobile ride it was clear we weren’t going anywhere! A quick call to the front desk and I was met with nothing but friendly helpfulness!!! All guests were already assumed to be staying and not checking out. The answer to my second question came as a pleasant surprise, “is by chance the restaurant open?” It was!!!! We trekked our way across the snow filled parking lot to get some lunch. Another surprise! “Come on in, what would you like to drink? We’ve got food for everyone. We are all in the same boat, might as well make the best of it.” Not only were we able to stay in our room, they were providing us with food and non-alcoholic drinks!!! And let me tell you, this wasn’t just let’s see what we can find food, it was a delicious spread!!!! Dinner was another, all different than lunch, delicious spread!!! Breakfast the next morning was more than the normal provided breakfast. We were able to dig out on Tuesday with the help of plow trucks and a group digging effort from several hotel guests working together. Are there some things about the rooms that are a bit dated? Yes. Was the wall heating/cooling unit a bit loud? yes. Was my room clean? YES! Was the bed comfortable? YES! The best part of our stay though was the exceptionally friendly, caring, helpful staff! We will stay again 😊"
