"A minute’s walk from the beach, truly excellent food with exceptional staff. Reason for 4 stars not 5 is rooms are small and shower cubicle a little bit of a tight squeeze but shower itself was good with plenty of hot water and rooms facing the road can be a little noisy. Excellent value for money. Very dog friendly. Excellent for a country pub, not a luxury stay but comfortable for what it is. Fabulous location."

"In 2026 I’d have imagined that the supply of gluten free bread/toast and cereals would have been standard. On the second day they had ‘run out’ and could we try ‘something else’. You aren’t Coeliac by choice and when there is nothing else on offer it doesn’t really help. That said when we let them know that Tesco across the road was open they did send someone to get some. Only to be told on the 3rd day that they may have run out! The public areas of the hotel are tired but on the whole it wouldn’t put me off staying again but o would let them know that the GF stuff was more than a nice to have."

"Clean room, comfy bed. Car park is small but plenty on street parking nearby. Great price. Premises are looking a bit tired and dated but that is fairly reflected in the price. Single room was small but functional. Very close to town centre with a good selection of cafes and takeaways within easy walking distance."

"From the outside this B&B looks nothing special, black colour looked very uninviting. However, inside was a very different story. The owners were friendly and welcoming. Our room was super clean, roomy and comfortable. We had an evening meal on the premises and it was cooked to perfection and very good value - the best meal we had on our eighteen day trip away. Breakfast didn’t disappoint either with plenty of choice. Excellent value, would definitely stay again if in the area."

"I cannot find anything bad to say about this hotel. The hotel is exclusively run by a family and I give 5 stars for how well it is done by this family. Service, information, willingness to help everyone was just fantastic. It was a great jumping off place to drive to all the locations we visited around the area. I especially liked the cleanliness of this establishment. No other place could compare."

"Everything about this property was exceptional! The location was central to seeing sites west, east & southeast of us. Our room was very nice and the view spectacular! The on-site restaurant was quite good & obviously convenient. The best is always saved for last ~ the staff! In no particular order, we would like to thank Nicole, Leslie, Zoe, Lola, Erin & a SPECIAL shout out to Beth! This wee little lass carried one of our 50 lb suitcases up the stairs to our room, ran to greet us as we would come & go, anticipated our every need before even requested ~ dinner at 8:00 ~ yes, already secured! Truly if we left anyone out, we apologize because the entire staff of ladies could not have been more friendly & engaging!"
