We had such a lovely stay at Carr Beris Manor. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was beautiful and the breakfast was gorgeous. The whole place is simply idyllic. We will definitely be back again.
A beautiful location by the river in an old Manor House. We had large comfortable rooms and the staff enabled us to use the dining room for a takeaway meal for a large party although their kitchen was closed for catering. The breakfast was also good and they catered for individual tastes. An enjoyable stay.
Very friendly, lovely grounds, room was lovely also, maybe a bit more choice on dinner menu - it was just not for me but others would be quite happy. Very enjoyable overall
Fantastic hotel, great location and very helpful and friendly staff. I forgot my phone charger but they found one for me to use no problem. No food served on a Monday evening but it’s only a short walk into town. Would definitely stay there again.
Lovely Hotel and Gardens
Need to train staff on better customer service
Breakfast time Tea and Coffee should be served at the table as not a fan of get your own tea, Coffee and Toast
We had a great time. Quite a magical place to stay. River walk and swinging bridge was brilliant. we went for my mum's 73rd birthday. we loved it there.
Stunning garden and woodland area. Peaceful and tranquil.
Great place to get married as well.
Food wasnt available on site for the night but it didnt matter for us as we had already eaten out. But we were told that they are unveiling a new menu with a famous chef so assume its one off issue.
Lovely dog friendly hotel set in absolutely stunning grounds. Staff friendly and courteous, and arranged flowers for my wife'sbirthday. At breakfast it was very busy which meant used dishes remained on our small table.
We felt the menu was limited. It had a strong middle eastern influence with no alternative, we struggled to choose something but when our food arrived it was tasty and well presented but not enough to persuade us to eat there on the second night. Breakfast again had the middle eastern twist so we stayed with the traditional which was lovely.
Had a lovely mid week getaway with my husband and puppy to celebrate her first birthday. A big drawcard of this hotel is the vast well maintained grounds which was great for our puppy to run around and it's away from the main roads so it's very quiet.
The hotel itself is very dog friendly, whilst we stayed there several other visitors had brought their dogs as well. It was only £10 extra per night for our puppy to stay in the room with us. Plenty of parking available.
The rooms were comfortable and clean, as were the other rooms of the hotel were well maintained. We stayed in room 12.
Service was very friendly. There is a bar in the hotel which is very well stocked. Breakfast was superb, really enjoyed it and great value as it was included in our room cost. Would highly recommend if you are visiting the area looking for a place to stay.
We had a lovely stay at Caer Beris. We brought our dog, and all 3 of us were made to feel very comfortable and welcome. The team went out of their way to accommodate our needs with our dog. We appreciate that there are some areas our dog wasn't allowed for the comfort of other guests, but this didn't impact us at all, as alternatives were made available for us.
The hotel itself is gorgeous - the building itself is stunning, as are the grounds, and had been beautifully decorated for Christmas. We arrived in the dark after a long drive and it was so cosy and comfortable to arrive to. When we got to our room, it was lovely and warm. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room tastefully decorated.
We were a little disappointed that the on site restaurant wasn't open, but we'd been given prior notice of this a few weeks before our stay, that they'd taken the difficult decision to close it due to the cost of living crisis. This did encourage us to eat out and explore the local area, which was no problem at all. The hotel still offer a cooked breakfast menu - the Eggs Benedict with lamb shoulder was unusual but delicious, I want to go back just to have that again.
Finally just wanted to say that it is a family run business and I think we came into contact with the whole family during our stay, and they were so pleasant and helpful. All of the other guests in the hotel seemed very happy and comfortable too, which really created a lovely and relaxing vibe for our weekend away.
Friendly welcome and showed us around the facilities. Unfortunately, the room was made up as a twin instead of a double, but the issue was resolved quickly, and we were given a complimentary drink for the inconvenience. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was awesome and we had the best table in the restaurant, in the bay window sat on chairs like royal thrones :-)

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Charming but dated in places. Room was dark with only one source of natural light. Bathroom desperately needs updating (room 9). Grounds are stunning and we had a lovely 3 course dinner. Breakfast was a let down relative to the evening dinner. Bicycles to use during stay were a lovely touch.
Lovely position in the welsh countryside and the hotel is lovely. Shame there were no services during the day, like lunch or evening meal but we understood why.
Enjoyed our stay very much and would go again.
Thank you
Sink in room had long hair in it and was dirty. Booked a table before we went, only to be told there was no booking for the table. We did manage go get one but not a great experience. Got charged twice for the room, again refunded but it shouldn’t happen
Beautiful place, staff is very friendly and always smiling that makes the stay even nicer!
The only small downside was that the superior double room was more like a normal double room, so is was not really worth it paying the upgrade.
Will recommend it and come back.
The room decor was showing a little age, not bad, just not so modern. That said, spotlessly clean, and we'll appointed. Loved the traditional windows, so charming.
I didn't use the bar as I arrived late, but looking at it in the morning, it looked just the perfect place to relax with a beer. And great outdoor terrace too.
Staff were amazingly helpful, friendly and polite. Breakfast was amazing!
Highly recommend and will look to say again in the future.
