Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Sheridan Hotel & Convention Center
6/10 Okay
"There are definitely up and downs at this property. The front desk staff was good and they definitely tried to help where they could. I had a suit because it was me and my 2 kids. In the room, their TV had no cord and no remote. I called down and the maintenance said they didn't have another TV so front desk just gave us an extra room. So now my kids were in their own room. For some this wouldn't work, but my kids are responsible so it was fine. We ate at the restaurant, service was really not good and the food was bad. We got back to our rooms to settle in for the night and I tried to adjust the thermostat because it was hot. It had been 100° that day so it was hot in the rooms. The AC did not work in my room or in the room they gave to my kids. I know it worked in the building because the sitting room in the suit was working as was the rest of the hotel. When I showered there was hair on the wall in the shower and a wad of toilet paper next to the toilet. It's really unfortunate because I drive through Sheridan often to go visit my parents in Denver and this is our halfway stop. We always stop at the ramada but it's clear it has seriously gone downhill."
"This is a beautiful property with a well stocked kitchen. The entire layout of the house is well done. The surrounding area is breathtaking and quiet. Even with guests in the other cabins, it felt like we had acres to ourselves. There is regular and decaf coffee along with an assortment of tea. There are basic toiletries in each bathroom. The beds were comfortable and they were great hosts. I wish we could have stayed longer."
"The lodge said they could not confirm our room. In the end they gave us a room and said they would comp us the cost. Since we had already paid not sure how they figured they comped us anything. Owner said Expedia was not confirming rooms and we were the 10 th guests to show up. They tried to blame Expedia and I said no way. I am a gold member so the problem must be on their end. "
"Fabulous property! Gorgeous mountain views out the windows, spacious interior, and very nicely decorated home. We enjoyed eating on the deck and watching the sunset. Very close to Bighorn Scenic highway which is a beautiful drive! This house provided everything you need for a comfortable stay and included games, treats and other amenities for dogs, and well stocked supplies in kitchen. We would stay here again!"
River Retreat - Tongue Canyon on the river with hottub & AC on 7.5 private acres
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our stay at this wonderful property! Very clean and comfortable, it was a great base for exploring the Bighorns and a wonderfully appointed space for our family to relax, unplug, and enjoy each other's company in a quiet and serene setting. I think our kids nearly wore out the cornhole set and hot tub! They were definitely big fans of the record player (a first for our nine-year-old!), the games, the fire pit, and the river's close proximity for fishing! The house is extremely clean and well-appointed, leaving nothing out for a wonderful weekend or longer stay. Ree was great to communicate with. We hope to return soon!"
"I love this place. I've stayed here twice. Perfect location to drive into the Big Horns and seeing the sheep. Trails galore. The cabins are perfect. The porch is so nice to watch the sunsets. Just across the street from the General store & the Shell Bar. Great food."
