"The staff is outstanding and a perfect downtown location! We traveled to Wilmington for our son’s promotion ceremony in the Coast Guard. Gabriel was so accommodating to allow our family an early check in. The riverside room was perfect. Beds were comfy and everything we needed minus a fridge. Couldn’t figure out the window blinds and a kind little lady from housekeeping fixed us right up! Unfortunately, we had a medical emergency that shortened our stay. Erica at the front desk was understanding and absolutely the sweetest. She answered all of my questions, was extremely helpful and gave me the warmest hug to “take care” before leaving. Hard to find kindness these days but no shortage of that spirit at the Ballast. Can’t wait to visit again, explore downtown, and hang out at the pool. The folks at the Ballast will take good care of you!"

"Enjoyed my stay at this great location, the owners provided friendly and timely communication. I recommend taking the parking option if you are visiting by car."

"We had to wait until 8pm to check in. They gave us “free Breakfast” which was not free. It was a voucher for $20 for 2 people. The sliding door to the bathroom was broken so there was no privacy when using the toilet. The bar was closed for a wedding. I was quite disappointed. The staff were kind but there was apparently nothing more they could do. "

"The loft was beautiful and exactly as described. Everything we needed was there. Communication with the owner was polite and quick. This location is amazing for exploring downtown. Everyone loved it."

"Lots of extra expenses! No complimentary coffee in the lobby (was told I could buy some at the Starbucks in the lobby). Parking options were confusing (and pricey). Staff members were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, but would have liked to have a microwave. Amenities were listed on the inside of the entry door. Would prefer to have a brochure that I could read sitting down. We don't plan to stay there in the future."
