Anniversary weekend

Beautiful location, well maintained, quiet cottage. Cottage had everything we needed and was such a relaxing space. Sunsets on the lake were beautiful!

Clean, comfortable and great location!

Don & Perky were wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed our stay. It was a great location for our day trips to Burlington & Quebec. The guesthouse was clean and comfortable and we were lucky to spend the day there and observe the eclipse over the lake, avoiding the crowds.

Snow storm

We come up for a long weekend despite a forecasted snow storm, and thoroughly enjoyed hunkering down in this sweet space. Don and Perky were lovely hosts, ensuring our kids had plenty of storm entertainment and making great local recommendations. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful retreat

Don & Perky provide a comfortable, warm, and welcoming space. My granddaughter and I enjoyed another vacation here. We took in the natural beauty around us and enjoyed the local community as well as trips to surrounding areas. We look forward to returning.

A Gem on Lake Champlain

Don and Perky's property is beautiful and the guest house offers everything we wanted. It's comfortable, spacious, and inviting, with direct lakeside access and gorgeous sunsets. We appreciate that our hosts were able to accommodate a change in our itinerary. What a wonderful stay!

Beautiful and relaxing place.

Been here the past few years and never grow tired of the place and area. Biking, water activities and just plain relaxing by the lake. Don and Perky are great hosts and maintain a beautiful property. We are glad to be able to share and enjoy with them.

Great little bungalow on South Hero

Exceptionally clean and comfortable bungalow on Lake Champlain. Had everything we needed for our stay; just had to buy groceries a few minutes away at Keeler Bay. Met the owner, Don, who was very nice and welcoming. Highly recommend his place!

Lovely spot

Comfortable cottage for a long weekend stay with our two dogs. The cottage was spacious, well appointed, very clean, and comfortably furnished. The yard was large enough to exercise our dogs and the street was quiet for morning walks. Best tip: go to The Blue Paddle for great food. Their motto is: it's all about the dog!

Nice Quiet Stay on Lake Champlain in Grand Isle!

Really enjoyed my stay at Don and Perky’s cabin! Everything was perfect. Nice and quiet, clean, modern kitchen and bathroom, and in a beautiful area on Lake Champlain. Proximity to Burlington, the Ferry, and other area treasures was nice. I hope to return again in the future.

Felt like home away from home

We loved the cottage - perfect for our getaway Anniversary trip to VT. Lovely setting on the Island and central to do all kinds of other exploring - Burlington, St. Albans, Stowe, etc. Very clean, exactly as advertised and great communication from the hosts. 5 stars!

Beautiful setting

We loved spending time at Don and Perky’s place. They are gracious hosts and the place is very comfortable and clean. The outside space is lovely and quite peaceful. The sunsets are spectacular. This was our first trip to South Hero and we will definitely return.

Welcoming

The property was beautiful and so peaceful. We were familiar with the area and appreciated the easy commute to our local family. Everything we needed as staples was provided. And I appreciated the comfortableness of the furnishings. It felt like home away from home.

Special birthday and Mothers Day get away!

We loved staying at Don and Perry’s guest house on the lake. The guest house is very comfortable and well done. There is so much to do on the beautiful islands and surrounding areas. We hiked, visited the fish hatchery, Shelburne Museum and a ride up to Canada. Sitting by the lake at night watching the sunset was a perfectly relaxing way to end our day. A special treat was the phenomenal Northern lights that happened when we were there! We definitely recommend the guest house and would love to come back.

Beautiful home.

We had a wonderful stay here. The home is lovely, quiet, close to the lake, well appointed and comfortable. The breeze coming through the windows. Sunsets down by the lake. The hosts were very attentive, and they shared the bounty of their garden ~ herbs and tomatoes. I wish we could return, but even if we don't, we'll cherish the days we spent there.

A great place

The kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of places for clothes. Extra pillows and blankets if we needed them. We met both of our hosts and they were very friendly and had ideas of where to eat, etc.
