For us, it began with a plate of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, and a lovely jar of homemade preserves. Small, discreet, tasteful notes were placed strategically throughout all rooms, designed to expedite guests' understanding of how to operate equipment, where to find supplies, etc., all for the convenience of someone trying to adapt to an unfamiliar living space.
The home opens up into room after room of comfort, elegant decor and thoughtful effort. Eight foot ceilings, hardwood floors, comfortable furniture and a lovely Florida room are just the beginning. So much effort and thought has been put into personal convenience.
From the obvious to the subtle, to the ergonomic thoughtfulness in layout and design, you will feel so "at home", that within a day you may find yourself asking "Now, where do I keep the scissors?"
"Only one bathroom?", you may ask. Not a problem, as the owner has provided bathrobes in each bedroom for fast exits after showering. Additionally, she has cleverly and tastefully placed a small table, chair, mirror and close-up mirror in each bedroom and in the Florida room, which allows one to apply one's makeup or do one's hair, thus reducing demand for more bathroom time.
All in all, we have never experienced such a high quality of effort and thoughtfulness in the preparation and delivery of a home rental. As we mentioned to the owner, we hope that it is a labor of love for her, because it is certainly a lot of labor. For that we are grateful.
