"I can't say enough great things about Frank's Bird house!! It was perfect for my husband and I and a family gathering. Plenty of room, the place was immaculate clean and just stunning. Our nieces and nephew loved the downstairs area with the pool table and theater system for some movies with the family! Saw lightning bugs and deer. We have a disabled family member and the top floor worked perfect with a covered porch on the front and beautiful views from 2 back balconies with sliding glass...

"Our host was a great communicator. He responded very quickly to any questions. The house has some beautiful hand made furniture and features that make it unique. Very nice kitchen and updated bathrooms. Great deck for enjoying nice evening or grilling on new outdoor grill. Close to town for restaurants or shopping. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the cleanliness. Which was caused by previous guest not following check out instructions. I would recommend this place if visiting the area. "

"We loved the quiet peaceful country setting. We had lots of room to spread out and come together as needed. The pool and hot tub were very enjoyable. It is in an area of great beauty with a variety of places to visit, like Cumberland Falls. We cooked in and ate out and enjoyed the choices we had. Communication with owner was great and if back in this area would return to Ellie's Place. Highly recommend."

"Would suggest to bring a fan for upstairs bedrooms. warm. lower bedroom and living mid area cool and comfortable. The aluminum dock was so nice. padded sides so didn't have to use bumpers for the boats. Usually take pontoon to a cove where we can get out to cool off and swim but this dock was so perfect we didn't have to do that. Kitchen well stocked with everything for meal prep. Very large deck with view of water was nice place to drink morning coffee. Will return"

Welcome to “The Retreat on the Hill” – Your Peaceful Lakeside Getaway

"Very clean property, very private and had everything we needed for a few days stay. The community pools are clean, and the check in process was very smooth. The only negative was that the vent for the septic is around ground level and with the property on a hill sometimes the smell lingered. Was not a major issue a majority of the time but at one point it was so bad we had to go inside. It seems weather plays a major role, on a hot no wind days it was bad with a slight breeze and in the morning and evenings was a non issue. Great stay in the VRBO and we would consider staying in the same community for future trips to the area. The furniture and beds were very comfortable."
