"We are very glad that this motel is back in business after many years of deterioration after a fire plus vandalism. We wanted to show our support by staying here. The room and the lobby are very simple (linoleum rather than carpeted floors,) The room did lack a place to hang hanging-clothes and when we pointed this out in a friendly manner to the manager, he said, "I know. We have some hooks on order and they have been back ordered for four months." We were told they are $54+ plus a piece -- so over $100 a room, and he was as obviously as frustrated as we were. Fortunately the bridal party was staying in the other wing which has traditional racks for hanging clothes. The women could let their fine dresses hang out. The instructions for the wifi "hotspot" are a little vague, but with some help from the front desk, we got online. We will definitely come again!!! Breakfast was very typical motel-fare. Waffles, cold cereal, and bagels with cream cheese. There are only four tables for 4 people in the eating area, which was challenging at 7:30 am when we were all trying to get on the road. Fortunately one of the single men at a table made space for us. Thank you, sir. The indoor pool is not open yet, but the plan is to have it up and running next year along with the bowling alley. Cobleskill -- being a college town -- needs places for families to stay. Oneonta and Schenectady are both a "hike". Now we just need a better option for an economical dinner."
