This hotel is a gem. It’s truly felt like a boutique and not at all copy/paste franchise hotel. It was clean and hotel staff friendly and helpful. There’s easy parking, lots of restaurants within couple of minutes walking distance, and lots of shopping. I would definitely stay here again.

Very special historical silk production structure

The Hotel is a very unique historical structure of 16th century, located excellent area to wander around the historic city center. There are many interesting pieces inside the building presenting its historical building purposes. However the towels, quilts etc did not seem to me very clean.

The staff were welcoming and building had a nice old-bohemian vibe. Breakfast was decent. It was by a busy street (none of the rooms seemed to face the interior courtyard, as far as I could tell) but it did quiet down at night. There was a full inch gap between the door and floor, so you will hear everything in the halls though. I could only get the bedside light to work, not the ceiling light. And the handheld shower kept falling off the hook while using it, though the water pressure and heat were great! The bathroom, floors, and bedding were all spotless, which I appreciated. I did find a small teardrop shaped bug that fell off my book when I pulled it out of my bag on the bursa ray, immediately after leaving hotel. I can’t be certain it came from there, but still strange enough to note.

This was our second stay at Ipekyolu Butik Hotel. We stayed there in 2021 right after Covid. We chose the hotel because of its location near to the Bazaar. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I think they can still so some renovations to the property to make it look more updated. But still a good hotel to stay in.

We enjoyed the fact that the hotel is an old Ottoman mansion that maintained many features like high ceilings and wooden floors. We stayed in the family room with an adjoining room with two twin beds, which was roomy and comfortable. The taxi driver from the new bus station knew exactly where it was located and the fare was reasonable. We were able to walk to the attractions and nearby restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay in Bursa and the Ipekalu Hotel.

Excellent location & friendly helpful reception

Free underground parking and excellent location . Ismael in the kitchen was very helpful. It’s an old building and I went in the winter. I think it will be a wonderful place to stay in the summer but much more expensive . Totally in the centre so it can be noisy.

It was the second time in this hotel and they give us a family room, much bigger. As there is a mosque nearby you can hear it in the morning (around 6 am) but not their fault. They don't speak a lot of English (very little) but thanks technology you can manage. Nice stay. Good to visit the city and Bazar, shops, restaurants quite close to this hotel.

The hotel is pretty beautiful and location is convenient. They even has a parking structure which is rare in Turkish busy cities. The young men working at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. It was very pleasant to talk with them. A young lady assisted us to purchase boat tickets to Istanbul while we encoutered some problems. The only downside is they would charge 50 lira for a cup of coffee while the breakfast was free. The coffee tasted not good at all.

We arrive late and we didn't see anything. The receptionist recommend us a good restaurant. The room is big and bathroom ok. Some things need replacement (wc flush for example) but it's ok. The breakfast was ok (Turkish one). They didn't have coffee, if you want you have to pay an extra 50LT (and no milk). They let us check-out late (after eating). We leave the luggage in the room and go for visiting. Staff friendly and helpfull even if they don't speak very well English.

I do not recommend.

There are several bad points about this hotel. First, the bathroom extractor fan doesn’t work, and the fridge is not functioning. I informed the reception about this, and they said they would help me, but they didn’t do anything for three days and showed no concern. The cleanliness is not good. The room is very small. The door lock is broken. The floor makes a loud noise when walked on. The sink is clogged.The water heater is not clean at all.
