"Thank you Catherine for providing such a lovely, clean, and comfortable apartment. The amenities are great! I took full advantage of the gym and the Jacuzzi. If you're looking for a place that provides a home away from home, this is it. The security and facilities teams are top notch and they make sure the property is safe and clean. If you're staying for a bit, be prepared to go to the local supermarket to stock up. I don't recommend that you walk there, but if you have a vehicle or take a very reasonably priced Uber, you'll be fine.I can't wait to experience more of Costa Rica in my future. Pura Vida "

"It is a very unique, private hotel with a friendly helpful staff. The parking was secure and behind a locked gate, which made me feel very good about having my car here. The rooms were delightful very unique just an incredibly enjoyable experience."

"This place is a hidden gem in the city. Once you're inside it is like a small very secure and semi-private resort. It is well maintained and beautiful inside. Food served was perfect and the staff is so friendly. I got lucky finding this place and if you're staying in San Jose this is a great place to be."

"Loved the members area (pool, gym, jacuzzi). Indeed was close to most everything we needed. Felt very safe. Couple minor issues (one with shower handle, the other was a slight noise the AC made). Owner is soon to fix those.... we just weren't there long enough for a repair person to come out (we only stayed two days) We had some troubles figuring out the AC system but that's because it's not what we are used too. Also had to reboot the router (easy, can happen to any home). Water pressure was lower than we are used to in the states, but I think that's simply Costa Rica across the board. Bed was comfy. Had all needed amenities. Leaving us some cool water in the fridge was a nice touch. Host was very responsive/attentive to our needs. Area is windier than we antipated. We overall had a great stay and would stay again if we are ever back in there."

"The Host Catherine was awesome. The condo offered everything we needed for a few days stay. The bed was very comfortable. We loved watching all the birds from the patio. The Avalon offers many great amenities including an awesome view from the pool. We will definitely be back again. "
