Simply Perfect in Every Way !
The property is simply wonderful on every level, with every conceivable holiday requirement fully catered for. It is in a beautiful location, albeit slightly remote, but with the hosts, John and Deirdre living next door at the farm. We are a suburban couple but our experience at this house is one we will both treasure forever ! The Wow factor on walking in through the front door remains throughout the stay. Our high expectations before arrival were easily exceeded. John and Deirdre really are the most perfect hosts, whom it was a real pleasure to meet. The surrounding area is beautiful and as well as being a beautiful house, it provides a great base for exploring the delights of West Cork. A five star rating doesn’t do it justice ! Thank you Deirdre and John !

Perfect
Our 3-night stay was absolutely ideal and would stay longer next time. We were two adults and two teenage girls; all of us had an amazing time. The house is immaculate and very well appointed. Deidre has done a tremendous job making sure everything you need is there. A stop at the local CO-OP for some groceries and we were all set. The surrounding views from the house are like something you might see on a postcard. We would have enjoyed just sitting in the house and taking it in, but a walk to the ocean and the cliffs behind the house is a must. We spent multiple hours walking along the cliffs. Wow! Spectacular! We tore ourselves away one time to visit Mizen Head which was certainly worth the drive. The highlight of our stay was spending time with John helping milk the cows. OK, we really weren't any help, but it was such a treat and he is a gem. Our two teenage girls are not the "outdoorsy" types, but they had the time of their lives. No cell phones needed. Thank you, Deirdre and John, for sharing this special place.

Idyllic house.
Absolutely stunning property located on a beautiful headland. The attention to detail within the house made this such a special stay. Every amenity, from fresh produce to large fluffy towels, has been given great thought and makes for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The hosts could not have been more welcoming and with so much still to explore we will definitely be back in the future. We thoroughly loved our time at Oceans End, such a pity it had to end!

Best Stay Yet!
This stay was by far the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. The place was extremely clean and well stocked. We didn't need for anything that you would use in a week during our stay because it was provided. John was very nice and went out of his way to show us his cow operation, we got to milk the cows, play with the calves, and talk to him and ask questions about how it all works. Additionally, he had materials to help not ruin clothing with milking the cows. The short walk to the cliffs was a very easy walk and their dogs showed us the way! The view over the cliffs was beautiful. The house had heated floors and adequate heating throughout the house that you never had to worry about being cold. We got in late and Deirdre came over right away to show us how to use the heating system and to make sure that she answered any questions that we may have had. There were tons of brochures provided to make looking for things to do a breeze. The house was plenty big enough to fit my husband and I and our three children with plenty of space left over. The drive to get there is beautiful and the house is easy to find. I can't say anything bad about this stay. I would 100% stay again if we come back to Ireland! Thank you so much for everything!!

We had a wonderful time at Oceans End! The family time was fantastic and the house was beautiful! Our host Deidre was very hospitable and attentive. The views of the water and countryside were stunning! We definitely want to return!

It felt like a dream…
My husband and I were looking for a getaway during the week of Thanksgiving, but we got much more than we could have imagined. The cottage interior is a good-size space that still feels ultra-cozy. Our evenings were spent dining by candlelight, followed by snuggling next to the fireplace with a cheesy Christmas movie on the television. The kitchen is well-stocked with all a chef, or amateur home-cooks like us, would need to successfully create a hearty spread for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bedroom linens and mattress were very comfortable allowing for well-rested nights that we were longing for on our escape from the corporate world. The cottage is surrounded by rolling landscapes of emerald green, speckled with the black and white of dairy cows, framed by breathtaking cliffs and the stunning coastal waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The cottage is the perfect distance from nearby towns offering the peace and quiet of a rural property but the comfort of food and drink a short drive away. Our stay was highlighted by the hospitality of our lovely hosts, Deirdre and John. Dierdre baked some delightful bread as a welcome treat and stocked the kitchen with fresh eggs and milk. We spent an evening with John to go behind the scenes of the dairy farm. While us big city folk weren’t much help to the dairy operations, we really enjoyed hearing from John, a fourth-generation dairy farmer. We would absolutely recommend, and we will be back for another visit!

Deirdre and John offer wonderful accommodation in the perfect setting. The location is great for a real getaway with views across farmland to the sea and yet an ideal spot to explore West Cork. Our family included our 3 year old granddaughter who loved milking the cows and the space to play both outside and with the toys provided. Just great.

what a fun stay! A great "base of operations" for us as we explored southwestern Ireland. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. Gorgeous ocean view. Nearby farm was a big hit with my daughter too!

A wonderful house with wonderful hospitality
Dee and John's house is just amazing. They are wonderfully friendly and welcoming people who we could have chatted with for hours. Dee decorated the house herself and considered every last inch of the place. It's a wonderful place to spend a few days. The surrounding area is beautiful with plenty of walks and great pints of Guinness in the local pub. We would highly recommend their house for a few days get away from busy life and pure downtime.

Truly an Unforgettable VRBO
No touch was forgotten in this amazing home - it was like staying with family. A thoughtful array of homeade bread, preserves, butter, eggs, and farm fresh milk was waiting for us when we arrived. The property's trails and views were so breathtaking that we cancelled our "tour" of the southern coast of Ireland and made shorter day trips throughout West Cork so that we could cook dinner and linger on the home's patio in the evenings. The decor, linens, and necessities with which the home is stocked rivals any five star accommodation. It is truly a hidden jewel--we were not ready to leave when our week was up. Deirde and John, thank you!

Postcard Beautiful Location, Perfect Cottage
We spent five days at and wished we booked ten. It is a beautiful newly finished cottage with everything you need as a family and is surrounded by picturesque views of a dairy farm and the ocean in the distance. Great beaches nearby and an easy trip to Clonakilty or Kinsale. You’ll feel that you’re away from it all because it is very private. The trick is getting yourself to get out and leave because it is easy to settle in and relax over tea in the sun room or out on the patio. The owners are terrific people and live next door. Blissful and we’re coming back!

Dream House
This house could not have been more cute. Everything was so perfect, my wife ordered a milk frother and a brand of body wash after one night. The property is very remote and picturesque; the cows make great company and the neighbors are wonderful! We didn’t want to leave and we’ve been to Dublin and now Paris and my family is still talking about the Cottage outside of Cork.

Immaculate property, wonderful owners, spectacular scenery!
By far best VRBO experience we’ve ever had. The home exceeded all expectations- immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and was stocked with everything you could possibly need to make your stay enjoyable. The owners are wonderful people, extremely kind and communicative and made us feel so welcome on their property. The outdoor fire pit area was a favorite and the upstairs large bathtub with a view a dream after a long day of exploring. John and Deirdre thank you so much for your hospitality- we hope to make it back one day to stay at your beautiful home again!
