"The property is beautiful. Located right across the street from the beach. The problem is with the staff, they are either incompetent or just don’t care, not all of them, but most. Here is one example..I called for baggage service at 6pm, at 630 after three more calls, my wife and I had to drag 5 bags downstairs (elevators) all the way out to valet. This is not what I would expect for 700$ per night. I have a few more examples like this which has led us to decide never to stay at this property again. "

"As it was our first time in Rio, selecting Orla Hotel in Copacabana was a very deliberate choice, primarily due to its reputation for being situated in a safer area, something that was particularly important to us. From the moment we arrived, we felt reassured by the visible police presence in and around the hotel. What truly elevated our stay, however, was the exceptional staff. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care reflect a level of hospitality that is both rare and memorable. The hotel itself is impeccably maintained, with an evident commitment to cleanliness throughout. While the rooms are somewhat dated in terms of décor, they are nevertheless comfortable, well-kept, and perfectly adequate for a relaxing stay. Its location is another standout feature, ideal for exploring the best of Rio. Surrounded by excellent restaurants and within easy walking distance of Ipanema and Leblon, it offers both convenience and a vibrant local experience. Overall, our stay was nothing short of excellent, and we would not hesitate to return. Thank you"

"We had an issue at the start — no air conditioning in the room — but this was satisfactorily resolved. I will come back. A good option vs other overpriced boutique hotels. "

"The hotel is located at a super good location, very near to the beach and walking distance restaurants. However, the receptionist was a bit rude and gave us a room we did not asked for and did not wanted to change us. The next morning I talked to the other recepcionist and they confirmed that they had made a mistake with my reservation but the hotel was fully booked and we couldnt move."

"It’s a good hotel. The room is big and nice and staff is super helpful, pool is good. Breakfast is good as well. The area is close to the beach in Copacabana, at night it might get creepy, but ok still. My only critic is the room at some points during the day smelled like pipi, so did the AC."

"The cleaning was definately not optimal. The beds were hardly fixed well. The bathroom toilet was loose. And the smell was bad in the room. I believe the acs werent properly serviced and may have had mold"
