"One of the best hotels in Algarve! A 600 year old convent converted hotel, yet it has all amenities and convenience a modern hotel has to offer. Good variety of breakfast. Room is spacious, bright and airy. Staff are friendly and helpful! A short walk to the Main Street where visitors can find Pharmacies, restaurants and boutiques. The hotel is at foot of the Castle of Tavira, public parking is limited, but the hotel has its own gated parking area, which is a huge plus for us."

"Fabulous old palace containing the bar, restaurant and lounge areas, whilst the rooms are in a modern new wing decorated with interesting modern art. Appreciated the tray of crackers, cheeses and cold cuts that were waiting for us in the room. Comfortable room, fantastic view. Good btreakfast and lovely helpful staff."

"Staff were accommodating in every way and made us feel most welcome. Room was clean, spacious and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding with many offerings of eggs, cold meats and cheeses, cereals & yogurts and breads and pastries. Wonderful fresh squeezed orange juice in a tasteful sun drenched room or an outdoor table on the terrace . Very nice public spaces and restaurant, where the food was quite good for an enjoyable dinner. There was bistro service during the day and bar service/bar menu, as well . We didn't take advantage of the pool with the cooler November weather, but outdoor space was inviting. A short drive into Tavira with easy free parking at all hours allowed us to enjoy this beautiful city. Close to Cabanas and easy drives to other towns in the Algarve via the A22. All this for an almost embarrassingly low cost. Well worth it."
