"The condo was clean, spacious, offered complimentary parking in the garage, great views of the marina. One issue was that the air conditioning kept turning off and was out completely overnight (90 degree day). Perhaps they will have it repaired with the next booking. Walking distance to restaurants - definitely go to Surf Box for bfast - delicious and great service. "

"We are staying for one night before we head over to the Westin. Dixon has been awesome. He takes great care of you. He is the one who checked us in, and waited on us at dinner. We ended up ordering a Pizza. It was very, very good, and I eat a lot of Pizza. I never expected to get a Pizza this good in Costa Rica. The drinks were good also. $10 for 2 at happy hour and they didn't skimp on the booze. Rooms are basic, but clean. That's all I need. Saved a lot of money staying here for one night and we had a awesome time. "

"What a great place! They say if you love your job, you'll never work a day. I've never seen staff who were as happy to be at work. Everyone was smiling and cheerful every day. Their work reflected their attitude. Everything was clean and well maintained, and things were always done right. The pool was sparkling clean each morning. The room was always made up perfectly. The restaurants were all excellent with very attentive staff. The pool bar was exceptional. Great drinks created by happy, smiling bartenders. Don't fail to have a cheeseburger from the 5 o'clock somewhere grill! This is truly a bit of paradise. I'll single out just a few. Scott, the manager, deserves credit for keeping his staff happy and performing the way they do! Carol at the front desk, Elias, Juan Pablo, Felippe, Nadezca at the pool bar. Mabel, our perfect housekeeper. The maintenance guys who are always smiling and hard at work. The landscaping crew who keep it looking great. All the waiters and waitresses at every restaurant. This was a top notch experience. I'll also recommend the sunset catamaran excursion from the marina. That was a highlight. We'll definitely be back!"

"The staff was outstanding! Yorya, Dylan and Andrea were consistently personable, friendly, and particularly helpful, answering all of our questions and assisting us with virtually all of our plans! The location in Palm Beach Estates was ideally situated, where a short walk on a shaded path led to a wonderful, expansive and nearly private beach. The grounds at Hotel El Manglar were quite lush and well maintained. The swimming pool and surrounding deck areas were equally well maintained. Our room had a small kitchen which was well-equipped, offering us everything we needed for light meals and beverages. Our room was comfortable and clean, with linens and supplies replenished every other day. The bed was quite well-dressed and comfortable. We were worried about not having a car during our stay and discovered that it was not an issue! An 18 minute walk south on the beach brought us to an estuary system, which was easily crossed by water taxi ($2.00 U.S,), dropping us into the bustling beach town of Tamarindo. Its streets were lined with a variety of restaurants and quaint beach shops featuring local artisans and souvenirs. Once there, we could easily reach a bank and 2 small grocery stores. We took 3 excursions that required transportation, and those arrangements were seamlessly handled by the wonderful El Manglar staff (mentioned above). We very much hope that a return trip will be in our not-too-distant future! Pura-Vida!"

"Casa Frisons was incredible and a fantastic place to stay overlooking Playa Flamingo! The views of the ocean, beach and sunsets were spectacular! The pictures don’t do it justice! Bilitis was the perfect host and very responsive. The rooms were all very spacious with high-quality furnishings and bedding, but the infinity pool and outdoor areas were the highlight. Benjamin and the cleaning staff were great and made sure everyone was well taken care of. All in all, it was a 10 out of 10 and we were sad to leave."
