We had a magical time at Ty’n Rhos. The property is nestled in greenery and tucked away, just off the beaten path. While the sheets were soft and cozy, the shower luxurious, what really made this place special to us were the people. The staff were not only accommodating, but warm and friendly. And the food was fantastic. In fact the gluten free roll was the best GF bread I have ever had. We met some of the other guests at dinner and because the staff had created such a friendly atmosphere it was easy to strike up polite conversation. All we met were impressed and had enjoyed their stay. We highly recommend Ty’n Rhos!

Ty'n Rhos is situated deep in the countryside, but with easy access to shops and major attractions. It provides an excellent and changing dinner menu in addition to a good breakfast.

A wonderful country retreat, but roads had no shoulder for walking. This would probably not bother most people, but I am a walker, so was disappointed. My fault, I should have researched more carefully.

Lovely friendly welcome, thought the property was in a beautiful location but needed some modernisation. Although everything was in excellent condition just slightly dated to our taste .

There is nothing bad I can say about our stay here. All staff were super friendly. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and the food is delicious. Would definitely stay here again

Beautiful, small country house hotel with lovely grounds. Friendly staff. Highlight was the excellent dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, while overlooking wonderful views. Highly recommended. Definitely a return visit planned.

We had a lovely long weekend at Tyn Rhos for a couples short break. The staff were so lovely and attentive, our rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and it was ideally situated to all the activities we had planned nearby. Special mention to the evening meal we had in site on our first night; absolute first class dining and service. By far the best meal I’ve had in a long time, and the rest of our party agreed. Throughly recommend a stay here.

Everything is fine except we didn't get a table for the dinner. We arrived from London, 5h to drive. Because the hotel in the middle of nowhere we expected to get a proper food, however looks like everyone get except of us

Rude owner spoilt our stay
First the positives. It was clean had nice fluffy towels and Caryl was very helpful. However the points which made this a more than disappointing stay are: Mould on the patio door curtains where they had got damp and not been cleaned. Shower door seal was not able to prevent flooding the bathroom every time you had a shower. Paintwork in the room was chipped and old particularly around the doors. Enamel was worn off the bath in places. Kettle did not stop itself when it reached the boil. The thing that was the worst part of our stay and really ruined it for us was the attitude of the owner. We arrived back at about 8:30 on our second night after attending a funeral and wake. We enquired it the kitchen was still serving and if so what was available. The menu was quite limited which was understandable. However as vegetarians there was only one option which neither of us were interested in. The owner then asked the chef if there was anything else and we were offered a goats cheese option which neither of us eat. So we asked if we could just have some chips which were listed as a side on the menu. Her rude response was ‘we don’t do that kind of thing here’ spoken in a very superior snooty tone. This attitude towards a guest is really not acceptable. We did not ask for anything unreasonable I have never experienced such poor service and such attitude in a hotel before. This was not a 5* stay.

Dear Anonymous, ( what a shame you are not brave enough to put your name to your review ) I will not lower the tone scoring you out of ten but I will also list the positives and negatives of your stay so that other guests can come to their own judgement. Positives Your dog was nice despite your mothers declared dislike of him. Negatives Daughter made the booking,then changing the basis of that booking to include a dog with your stay which we were happy to accommodate,however we were very unhappy that you left the dog ( a rescue) in our bedroom unattended for nearly 6 hours. You returned for a short time before going out again leaving your dog unattended for another 2 hours. Unacceptable to any accommodation provider and that is coming from a dog owner of 30 years. Nowhere do we advertise kennelling. Complaint from another guest staying with us about your rudeness and quite prepared to put pen to paper. Our menu clearly states we serve either a 2 or 3 course dinner for £36.50 or £42.50 respectively - we do not serve chips at £2.95 on a Saturday night to any guest and never will do - how do you think we pay our chefs, insulting and unreasonable. You returned at 8.45pm, the kitchen had cleaned down but were prepared to cook a proper meal for you, you were offered the choice of two starters and two main courses ( all vegetarian ) but declined all, storming off when your request for 'just chips' was declined. Before complaining about someone else attitude it may be advisable to look at your own, which is far from acceptable, your complaining began even before you walked into the bedroom on check-in.

Great location and family run small hotel,the rooms are clean and airy but the main selling point as got to be the restaurant! Great breakfasts cooked to perfection with a good selection of fruits and cereal etc,but the evening meals took some beating especially the steak and lobster but couldn't fault any of the food served.nd can see why it was awarded 5stars
