I am writing about our Sept. 25–27 stay at Hotel Windsor Milano, booked through Expedia as a Deluxe Double or Twin Room. The room initially appeared acceptable, but after unpacking we discovered that the bathroom blinds did not work properly and did not fully cover the windows. This was uncomfortable because another occupied building directly faces the bathroom. Since we had already unpacked, we decided to remain in the room. The more serious problem occurred on our second night. Our room was directly above the hotel restaurant/bar, where a planned event was held with extremely loud music until about 1:00 a.m. Afterward, staff continued moving and dismantling event equipment, creating substantial noise until around 2:00 a.m. It was impossible to get a normal night’s sleep. This was clearly a pre-planned event, so the hotel knew in advance that rooms directly above the venue would be badly affected. We believe the hotel should not have assigned guests to this room that night without warning us or offering another room. This significantly disrupted our stay. We are requesting a refund for the second night and ask Expedia to investigate this matter with the hotel.

This is a solid 3 star hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is slopeside with ski in/out. Ski rental on site is a plus. However, rooms are basic and mine had no closet. There is an additional daily charge per person for pool and spa use.
