"Old Creggan’s inn is an absolutely beautiful location facing Loch Fyne and the mountains surrounding the loch. Dinner was delicious and the Loch Fyne mussels are heartily recommended. Sunset from the upstairs guest lounge room is absolutely gorgeous."

Enjoyable overnight stop
"Very friendly staff, good sized rooms with comfortable beds. Lovely views from the top floor restaurant. Evening meal was good and good choices for breakfast. Easy to walk to the village too. The hotel is large and caters for big groups but we were lucky that it was quite a quiet night when we stayed. ..."

If you're driving from the Glasgow direction it's best to take the second Cairndow exit, as the hotel is very close to that end. If you enter from the first turn you have to drive a longer distance on a narrow single-track road.
2/5 - Disappointing

The hotel is loch-side, but toward one end. Given recent weather patterns, this unfortunately meant that the water was quite low and the view was spoiled by the sludgy residue that stretched for a good distance from the normal shore.
