Drum Lodge - sleeps 15 guests in 7 bedrooms

Drum Lodge - sleeps 15 guests in 7 bedrooms

10/10 Excellent
"Outrageously opulent property with high end finishes, linen, amenities etc. We’re a group of 8 retired friends who annually rent in the highlands and this is the best we’ve had. It’s expensive but you get what you pay for. However, it could be improved further as it has superb views but the hedges have been allowed to grow un trimmed and obscure the views, namely in the kitchen and especially in the main semi circulate lounge. Also there is some heavy garden furniture plonked in the car parking area rather than on the lawns by the pond, and they need some cushions to be commensurate with the quality of the place. But the most annoying aspect is the smallest and cheapest to correct. Cleaning and washing up materials are supplied but inexplicably no dish clothes are supplied. So on day 1 you can cook and wash up but you can’t clean the surfaces or spillages until you’ve been to the shops on day 2! On querying this we were told it was deliberate! How does this make sense in a £4k pw rental for a 99p dish cloth? It’s a similar story with the bin bags; there are some in the bins but that’s it, so don’t make too much rubbish before you’ve been to the shops."

"Lovely room with spacious comfortable beds, our family booked two rooms that had King sized beds with a single bed made up alongside (one had a bathroom and one a showerroom) We stayed one night and enjoyed a swim after check in and the soft play and playroom in the morning after we checked out (as you are able to use these facilities until 1pm once you check out) We would have made use of the free cinema as well (evening and morning) if we hadn't seen the same film earlier that week) I would happily come back on another trip and really liked the Elemis toiletries in the bathrooms throughout the complex, a touch of luxury!"

10/10 Excellent
"We had 4 nights in the bungalow. Was a joy to stay. Had everything we needed at the property and ample space for all 8 of us. Check in was easy and the accommodation was spotless. Kitchen was large with plenty space with 2 fridges. We all enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings whilst watching the sun setting which at the same time watch the cattle head down the field."
