A hotel fit for the Pharaohs (dead and dusty) and probably hosted them in ancient times. Needed to call housekeeping for everything - glasses, towels, blankets, heat. The showers had no pressure but at least the water had no smell. Internet was slow and the over-priced Gulf Arab filled hooker bar next door was loud until 6am. That being said, we had a great time. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The staff is great and very accommodating. The breakfast buffet is disappointing but the dining area it is served in shows classic elegance from bygone day. The hotel is located on a side street between the main thoroughfares of King Faisal and Pyramid street and when you go inside the small door you come into a hidden world. It must have been amazing in its day, but for what we paid, it was awesome.
