Villa with swimming pool in the picturesque Madonie mountains of Sicily

"Wij hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad in Caltavuturo en in villa Mario.De communicatie met de eigenaresse verliep uiterst soepel en bij aankomst zijn wij uiterst welkom geheten door Lia en Vincenzo die ook op aangegeven tijden langskomen om het zwembad en de terrassen schoon te houden en de vuilnis voor je wegbrengen. Wij vonden Lia en Vincenzo geweldig en ze hebben ons ook geholpen aan restaurant tips. Het huis was voor ons een genot. Heerlijk zwembad, prachtig uitzicht, rustig maar wel dichtbij Caltavuturo. In het dorpje konden wij alles vinden wat wij nodig hadden er zijn 2 kleine supermarkten, 2 restaurantjes, diverse bakkers, groente en fruitverkopers, 2 slagers en een werkelijk fantastische ijssalon! Je komt bijna geen andere toeristen tegen en dat vinden wij altijd ook erg aangenaam.Wij vinden het fijn om steeds weer een nieuw stukje Italië te ontdekken, maar nu zijn wij toch wel erg in de verleiding om nog een keer terug te gaan."

"Wonderful retreat for a few days and a nice respite from the liveliness of Palermo. Come here for relaxed sophistication and a remote, beautifully renovated Masseria. The pool and views were spectacular."

"What an incredible place! So much history, character and charm! It has a great location in the countryside with a lovely view. Its so quiet and peaceful and sitting out by the pool at sunset was lovely. Best of all: AC, wifi a big breakfast and a balcony. If you love cats like we do, there are a little family around the bins the appreciative a sausage or meat"

"Even better than the pictures. We had a truly magical stay at Rosanna e Gioacchino‘s home in Castelbuono. They were wonderful hosts—kindly providing everything we needed for our stay and coming to help us when we had a question about the pool. The villa itself is perfect, it has every comfort and is filled with beautiful details and interesting art. Thank you so much for hosting us!"

"Great value for the price. The views are stunning, especially at night from multiple terraces. Less than a 10 minute drive to central Piazza Armerina, and there is a supermarket about within walking distance (or a very short drive). This B and B is very welcoming with no codes to enter, time restrictions, or other typical hassles - it was as if we had this large home to ourselves even though there were other guests (who were lodged in different parts of the large home). The host, Luciano, and his staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast, that included interesting cheeses, meats, eggs, cornetti, and coffees, was excellent. The air conditioning and showers functioned well. We could store our wine and other drinks in the common refrigerator with easy access. I highly recommend this place."

"Our room was spacious flooded with natural light with valley views, the breakfast was super and Carina was extremely helpful and attentive. Overall this is a beautiful setup in a peaceful environment. Definitely more than a three star ( should be a four star) Definitely recommended"

"A real treasure in a stunning area of Sicily. Everything was spotlessly clean - new and fresh - bliss. Dinner was excellent and staff very accommodating on our late arrival. Breakfast was superb with excellent choice of food. Sorry I didn’t have time to try the Spa."
