older place, but clean & comfortable enough
Staff were friendly & helpful, but parking was a bit of a pain, as they only had 2 spots, and if they were taken, then you had to park at an underground parkade down the street... still free, but was a bit of a hassle when trying to leave the parkade with the hotel pass. The room was older, but clean and comfortable enough. Continental breakfast was nothing amazing, but good... more than adequate. Good, cheaper option to stay rather than paying much more to stay in Obidos.

Convenient location, great bed. Rooms and bathroom were small. That was only issue.

For the price - very good
We had read the review on this Hotel about being musty - it is just a little, but very clean everywhere. Its an old hotel, old beds but somewhat comfortable. Ver nice and helpful staff. Front desk we dealt with 2 people both spoke very good English - For the price this is a very nice overnight stay. There was a humming noise coming from a nearby building ( I wear hear plugs and it was OK) Breakfast while simple it was nice - the old gentleman made us espressos to go with regular coffee. We have stayed at worst Holiday Inn's

First night I spend fighting mosquitos. Everyday cleaning staff left open window and I got more of them. I hac to go couple days earlier and, I left behind charging cables for phone and tablet, wrote email to hotel asking if they find it so, my friend would pickup it. No answer.

Dear Sir ,We are very sorry for the incovenience caused by the mosquitos , it is the climate change that is originating the mosquitos , also our cleaning staff is using the soay to minimise the effects .We are responding in 2 days time as you left one day earlier !!your friend can come to the hotel and pick-up charging cables that we found .Regards Hotel Dona LEONOR

The man at the desk did not even lift his head up to great me. The hotel is very dark, especially in the hallway before getting into the room which had a musty smell. The bathroom smelled like sewage. The hotel is so old, the bed is not comfortable and creaks like the rest of the furniture. I did not sleep well if not at all and was very disappointed. Traveling alone I did not feel safe and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I chose it because of the proximity to the city center and that was the only thing that was going for it.

Terrible Wifi and Shabby Rooms
The Staff were very helpful but they cannot make up for the shabby and dilapidated rooms. The WIFI Reception was so awful that we moved elsewhere to be able to communicate with family and friends. I'd give the Hotel a ZERO MArk if I could, except for the fact that the staff did their best to fix problems (and were very quick to try and respond). Due to their efforts and hard work, I'd give it THREE out of TEN) Unfortunately, the rooms still contain old furniture and the the WiFi reception, especially on the 3rd floor was so unreliable as to be unusable. Such a pity.

Better than I expected :)
My expectations were not very high due to the price and location. It was easy to find and the front desk person was very helpful. The room was clean and decent. Breakfast was included and exceeded my expectations as well. I would stay there again.

This hotel is spotlessly clean and very quiet despite being in the centre of town. Basic breakfast included in the very reasonable price, good wifi speed.

A great place to stay
We booked a short stay and ended up staying nearly three weeks, if your looking for a warm friendly clean family run hotel this is the one ! All the staff were helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a great time.

O hotel precisa de renovação. O quarto estava limpo, contudo quer o mobiliário é extremamente antigo, os colchões de molas deveriam ser substiuidos urgentemente pois não proporcionam conforto a dormir. Devido ao facto de o hotel de uma forma geral estar envelhecido tem um cheiro um pouco a mofo / humidade.

Sauber aber sehr laut und unsicher
Hotel ist 5 Minuten vom Bahnhof und Busbahnhof entfernt, direkt in der kleinen Altstadt von Caldas. Zimmer in gutem Zustand, sehr sauber. Nach außen zur Straße guter Schallschutz aber nach innen hin hört man alles. Und alles heißt wirklich alles, Unterhaltungen der Nachbarn und deren Toilettengänge. Großes Thema: Der Zimmerschlüssel muss an der Rezeption gelassen werden, was ein hohes Sicherheitsrisiko darstellt, da wechselndes Personal dort keinen Überblick über die Belegung haben kann, kein Ausweis verlangt wird bei der Schlüsselübergabe und die Rezeption tw auch nicht besetzt ist und damit die Schlüssel frei zugänglich sind. Dieses System macht keinen Sinn und trägt zu einem Unsicherheitsbefinden bei. Wenn dies behoben wird eine durchaus mögliche Alternative für Aufenthalte in Caldas.
