"The property was clean and in a great location. It was charming in many ways and very well priced. However, it is quite an old and not updated property, so just be mindful that there are no air conditioning or fans in the hot weather, so it can get a bit stuffy. Also be wary that any food left on the counter will immediately attract ants. It was still worth the price and location, but it is an old house, and comes with the associated issues. "

"The breakfast was excellent but could be a little more varied as we stayed 4 nights. Staff was helpful and welcoming. They took you to your room and showed you how everything worked. I am from the West Coast in California and it is a long journey to get there upon arrival. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. It is everything that I wanted in terms of a retreat and a place to really have a sense of peace. Unfortunately, there were two events that happened in rapid succession and I was not happy or enthused at all. Rather than go into the details of what transpired, I would like to go more in depth into their response. We all make mistakes, however, what I found very refreshing was that one, they not only owned up to both incidents, but two, they made every conceivable effort to atone for them. That level of honesty and urgency is ultimately why I would visit this resort again. That level of dignity and respect is very much appreciated and it was because of that that I was able to enjoy the rest of my time there."
