Lovely hotel with great facilities. Lots of different places to relax , three swimming pools all surrounded by lots of sun beds. Plenary of quiet places to read or chat . Staff very friendly and quick to anticipate your needs before you even ask. Well located to the town and local restaurants. On the down side very little choice of English TV channels , other than news . No full length mirror in the room .

Love the decor in the hotel.The garden and pool area was stunning. The placement of the furniture in the room was well thought.. Enjoyed breakfast and the welcoming friendly staff. Very considerate. Large variety of.fresh food, pastries, breads, fruit etc was served. A very peaceful hotel. Highly recommended. Will definitely visit again.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and very comfortable, and the facilities were excellent. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful well maintained hotel with a tropical botanical garden right outside the door. Incredible staff. Everyone from the front desk, to the dining room, to the housekeeping services to the shuttle bus driver are friendly, helpful and quick to serve. Especially enjoyed spending time with Colombo the tortoise who lives in the garden.

An attractive hotel featuring kind and welcoming staff . Beautiful swimming pools and gardens . The interior felt a little dated, especially in the library/game room area . The door key cards were a little problematic . But. the staff were delightful !

This is our third stay at Porto Mare, and its just as good as we remember. Spacious and clean rooms, lovely breakfast buffet, great facilities for adults and kids. Our two year old especially loves the pools and playground.

Perfect central location. The interior decor tasteful with abundant fresh breakfast. Loved the rooftop pool and jacuzzi with beautiful view of Funchal.
