Casa Perla Suite 1 a 2 Bdrm Caribbean Oceanfront Condo w/ dipping pool
This two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite is on the main level and faces the rolling waves of the Caribbean ocean. Take advantage of a private patio and a dipping pool for some peaceful R&R. Suite 1 boasts a master bedroom with king-sized bed and a modern, spacious en-suite bathroom with a bathtub. The second bedroom also has a king-sized bed and a single bed. The living area is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of seating, air conditioning, and a fully-furnished kitchen that comes with everything you need to cook fresh meals with local ingredients — or to whip up evening cocktails to take to the roof.
The Space: This suite has a master bedroom with a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom (shower, sink and toilet), the second bedroom has a king size bed and a twin size bed. The main bathroom has a sink, toilet, bathtub and shower. Large full kitchen that is great for entertaining. A bar to sit at the island and also a dining area that seats six people. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Private patio and dipping pool overlooking the ocean. Access to enjoy the shared roof top patio that has a very large sun tanning/lounging area and a pool. Can't beat the sun and the view from this area of the house!
This house is split into three separate units. There are two – two bedroom suites and one bachelor style suite
Guest Access: Guests from all three units will have access to the roof top patio and pool area.
The Neighborhood: We love our neighbourhood because the neighbours are all very friendly and it's a little dead-end street that is off the main road but still close to everything you need.
On the days you don't feel like making your own coffee and breakfast there is a very popular place just a block away, The Mango Café. We have a large grocery store that is walking distance from our house which will have everything you need including a liquor section, bakery, deli, beach accessories and lots of import food for the days that you are craving something from home.
A quick cab ride from the famous Playa Norte. Featured in numerous reviews as being one of the top 10 beaches in the world!
NOTE : The issue with the dogs across the street has been resolved. While we still have the authentic sounds of Mexico, which could include barking dogs, the dogs referenced in past reviews have been removed.
Getting Around: A popular way to get around the island is by renting golf carts, scooters or bicycles. You can also get around very easily by taxi.

Case Perla was an amazing property, we loved the view and the privet pool. Is was off the main roads so it was really nice to be away from all the noisy golf carts and scooters. It’s has plenty of amazing food options with walking distance. Could not have asked for a better property and experience!
Property was great! Enjoyed 6 days of relaxing, beautiful views and touring the island in the golf cart. Many restaurants to chose from within walking distance as well. Will definitely come again!
What a lovely place to stay on the island! The management staff was wonderful. The cleaning crew was delightful. Watching the sunrises from our balcony and climbing down to explore the beach below was unforgettable. We loved being mid-island and one block from Mango Restaurant! We cooked most of our meals and appreciated having a fully equipped kitchen. Highly recommend this property!!!
The manager of the property was very responsive to any need we had. The house was very nice and the view was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place.
Location is on a nice quiet road off the main hustle and bustle. House is super clean and the people respond very quickly and the location is in the middle of the island which is convenient for getting anywhere so I would rent a cart.
From start to finish, this property was everything we wanted and needed. Great location! Centrally located. Just outside the hustle and bustle of the north end, but close enough to get to everything on either end when we wanted to.
Nice place in a great location. Perfect view of the ocean with friendly iguanas to see every morning. Loved the heated dipping pool, but the only negative thing I have to say is that I had to be persistent with property manager to get it turned on. Otherwise it was a perfect stay!
Impressive backyard. Loved the location. Put us in the heart of what mattered and the food was insane throughout the surrounding neighborhoods. Dogs were amazing and so sweet..everything about this place is grand!
Amazing location. Walking distance to Mango cafe. The heated dipping pool overlooking the ocean was amazing. The sounds of the waves crashing was the best sound ever. Property manager was very responsive and communicated immediately to our request for early check in due to flight times.
We had a perfect trip. Marla was very helpful on our first family trip to Mexico. We really enjoyed the pool and the view in the afternoons. There are a ton of great restaurants within walking distance of the unit. I recommend renting a golf cart and touring the island. Playa Norte Beach was beautiful. We really enjoyed Kin Ha resort on the south side of the island. We will definitley be back for a return stay. Thanks Marla!
We have stayed on the island
Any times. Nothing beats the view we had there. We will probably stay there again. It did take us a night to get used to roof dog. After we figured out to use sound machines to drowned him out our stay was better.
Property was comfortable for our family of 4. We had a golf cart to be able to get around on the island but found the grocery store and great restaurants within walking distance. The property is up on a cliff so direct beach access was tricky but there are plenty of other beaches on Isla and we enjoyed being outside of the super busy beach areas of Isla. Host was a great communicator -- we had no problems with the property at all. The one thing I wish we had was a dryer as it was very humid and our things didn't dry (beach towels, swim suits, running clothes, hand washing, etc.) A minor inconvenience.....
This was our first time to the island and we had an amazing experience. The location of Casa Perla is exceptional. There are many restaurants and bars within walking distance serving delicious food and drinks. We enjoyed not being near busy Playa Norte and was much quieter. The view from the unit is amazing and we spent much time on the patio and at the rooftop pool. The reviews about the roof dogs are true but there are sound machines to help you sleep. I would recommend renting a golf cart if you plan to make regular trips to Playa Norte or go to Cheudrai. We plan to start here again in the future.
Everything was as described and the place overall exceeding my expectations.
Everything was amazing….EXCEPT the barking dogs all night in the neighborhood. Very clean, bedding was comfortable, kitchen was stocked with all you would need, beautiful view, cleaning was done regularly without needing to ask, dipping pool and rooftop pool were so nice to have, and we felt very safe overall.
About the dogs…..this is the only reason for a 4 out of 5 stars. They bark ALL night long, and at times there is 3-4 dogs barking together! We got very little sleep :( The noise machines do not help. This is out of the owners control but future renters need to know this.
Some of our favorite places to eat:
Mangos- amazing breakfast food and less than 5 minute walk
El Borracho Burro - lunch/supper and live music in the evening.
Beachin Burrito - the best burritos I’ve ever had for a good price.
The wooden taco stand on the corner near Beachin Burrito.
Many overpriced restaurants with very bland food and we found the stands/trucks downtown had very tasteful food at way better prices.
We had a lovely time at Casa Perla for our 4th trip to Isla! I would give the property 4.5 stars. The location with the ocean backdrop and in the local neighborhood was fantastic. So many local gems to eat, just stay away from the gringo hangouts and youll save a lot of money and get more authentic mexican food. Chile y Maiz was our favorite. The home is just a few blocks from the large Chedraui which made schlepping groceries easy. Its a 2.5 mile walk to North Beach, which our family did about 8x. I think we clocked over 30 miles in 14 days (kids are 7, 5 and 1) and this is centrally located and we felt very safe. A few things that would help would be to have pantry items, there were no basics including salt/pepper, etc. There were coffee filters and thats about it! Its a pain to have to go to the Chedraui for salt/pepper/spices and other basics when you are only on the island for a short time. The neighborhood barking dogs were quite the pain but im not sure what can be done about this, as previous reviews have mentioned. The pools were great for the kids and loungers on the deck were very comfy. The tiles inside the home get VERY slippery and my baby had a difficult time walking without falling so just beware. Do not let your kids go out the side entrance, there is a 25 foot cliff drop with no barrier. The housekeeper Rosie was lovely. Also note there is no washer/dryer on site for guests to use, so a place to hang dry laundry we washed would have been helpful.
