Pentland
If you are a solo traveler, or are under retirement age, this is not the hotel for you. Bus tours are priority and occupy the staffs full attention. I was unable to get a meal at the hotel and actually had to visit other hotels to eat. Try Manor House or Holborn Hotel.

Castletown Hotel
Good location for the Pentland ferry from Gill’s Bay, about 20 mins. Lovely food, our room on the ground floor was great, small but adequate.Parking also adequate.

Wick Bay Apartments
Parking excellent ,clean rooms,dog friendly. .A friendly helpful Ground staff and house-keeper. Coastal path walks scenic and historic. Wick town easy walking distance and has a beautiful river walk.
