It was a nice place to stay at. The only complaint would be that they only had one elevator working while we were there. They are doing renovations. The restaurant inside is fabulous great food. The pool area was nice for kids. Underground parking was great. If you have a ground floor unit the outside patio is a mess and tons of ants so you really could not sit outside. The rooms were clean. Would stay again. Canmore is Beautiful ♥️

The two bedroom with living room suite was well laid out and had ample space and was very clean. While the decor was somewhat modern, the older construction was apparent and the building lacked upkeep, window sills were worn from sun exposure, a broken sliding door stop was left partially attached with a new brace installed above it, some of the cabinet doors needed new hinges and wouldn’t stay closed, and the lid on the under the sink garbage can had broken free from its hinges and was just left resting on top. The view of the Canadian Rocky Mountains was spectacular, however, we were placed on the bottom floor with an outside barbecue grill that had no propane can attached, and the property was undergoing a major landscaping project, leaving us with a great view of heavy equipment. Yet, it was highlighted on their website as an accommodation.

Room was clean and has everything you need, though I wouldn’t classify it as a resort like stated. We knew there wouldn’t be room service, but were told we could get towels anytime and when I went to get them they only had small pool towels. Be aware parking spots are SMALL and limited. I would still recommend this hotel as it was still a great place to stay close to Banff and within walking distance of restaurants and shops in Canmore.

We booked for 8 nights, but checked out a day early. Yes, they are renovating,and to pardon the dust. We can live with that. No one EVER came to make up room,ever! Our room had ceiling water damage, and part of the floor was warped. If you needed, towels, washcloths, tp, shampoo or ANYTHING else for that matter. You had to go to front desk. They may,or may not even have it there. Also….only one of 3 elevators worked. Never saw even an attempt for repair. So multiply times daily up and down the steps closest to our room. The restaurant attached was good. We ate b’fast and a couple dinners. Staff there was very pleasant. We loved Canmore, as well as Banff. The place to stay is also big for us. No access to the pool staying in the Annex. Clean room with easy check in and out and convenient parking. Room could use some updates in regards to maintenance. Thermostat could not be set as cool as we would have liked so it was warm for sleeping. The mini fridge thermostat was broken off so could not be adjusted. The TV did not turn on with the remote, the TV button itself needed to be pressed. The TV remote also would only adjust the volume up or down by one (max volume or one less than max), an upgrade to a smart TV would be great. Convenient access to many restaurants and downtown canmore. The restaurant on site (The Grande) was ok for breakfast though we did see a mouse in the dining room which was rather off-putting. The walls are quite thin so very easy to hear other guests, particularly those above you. Great mountain view and window that opens which is a nice bonus.

Room not as clean as we’d like. Arrived to be told we’d be in the annexe building which is clearly a different property than the actual lodge we’d seen images of. The annexe building had a flood in the parking lot, the doors were open and accessible to anyone to get in, hallways had wallpaper peeling at all corners.. oh and the elevator wasn’t working so we had to bring all our luggage up 3 floors. Not exactly what you expect for paying 700$ for two nights, kinda ridiculous really. Dust in our room, looked like it still needed to be swept. Bed was comfy.. service was okay. I wouldn’t go back.

Extremely disappointing stay. The air conditioning did not work properly, and there was a loud, recurring noise in the room roughly every 30 seconds. It was incredibly irritating and made it difficult to relax. When I raised these issues with the front desk, the only response was that they would “make a note of it.” No practical solution was offered, and the problems remained unresolved. Simply recording a complaint is not an acceptable response when a guest is dealing with an uncomfortable room. A quiet room, functioning air conditioning, and responsive service are basic expectations for any hotel. This property fell short on all three. The lack of action left me feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously. Overall, a frustrating experience and poor value for money. I would not stay here again or recommend it.

There was a language barrier when checking in with the woman trying to explain where the underground parking was. That was a nightmare trying to find a place to park until the next day where someone was able to explain where it was. There as some equipment outside my patio door that blocked the view of the mountains that I paid extra for. They did finally move it after I complained about it. The 2 bedroom suite was nice and located in the main building so I was able to use the hot tub. They need to drain the hot tub and fix that one are of cement that was missing on the bottom. We enjoyed staying here. The only problem with the suite was one of the bathroom shower/tub was dripping and the jacuzzi tub in the master room did not work at all so that sucked.

We did enjoy the property overall. It did look like they were doing construction. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. My only things that I hope get updated is the beds, and find away to better sound proof the rooms/suites. We were next to the pool and you could hear the door open and shut to the pool. Also the dryer in our room probably needs updating or a new heating element. However, for the price we would stay here again.

Had a very bad experience staying here. The lift was not working, someone staying on top floor was pulling furnitures and making lot of noises till 2 -3 AM in the morning for straight 2 nights. Hotel staff and security came but nothing happened.
