Marco and Eleonora are simply the best one could ask: attentive, professional , caring. Me and my daughter were treated like one of their own and that feeling says more than a million words. "The room was spacious and clean, comfortable bed, and Staff all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is the same every day and very basic (e.g., 1 croissant per person, 1 type of cereal); no hot food or cheese or meat."

"Absolutely loved our stay here. It's a former palace and the room was huge with a wonderful patio. They had a excellent breakfast, the staff was awesome (shout out to Martina and Paolo). Would stay again in a second. The city is very walkable and Martina and Paolo were incredibly helpful with restaurants and sights. We did not want to leave."

"I chose the Excelsior for its proximity to the train station, as I was arriving and leaving by train and also did an excursion by train to the Certosa nearby (which I highly recommend). It also was close enough to all of the other sights to be walkable. The room was spotlessly clean. Also, the city map provided by the hotel was excellent! Tourist maps often do not label all streets, or use printing so small that they are not user-friendly, but this one was great."
