"Booked with Expedia who said hotel acknowledged reservation but at check in, said no reservation. Front desk has no computer. Expedia tried calling multiple times but call was disconnected. Given room and resolved in AM. Room door didn't lock. Bed stiff. Shower scorching hot. Cleanliness very questionable. Recommend driving 30 miles to another hotel."

"Kitchen had a variety of spices, quality utensils, baking pans, frying pans, etc. Keurig. Real wine and champagne glasses and a wine opener. Steak knives and tongs that actually grab and hold your food.Bedrooms stocked hangers and dressers. Beds topped with cozy comforters. Pillows are flat, so if you need something thicker, you may want to bring your own. Mattresses are firm and comfortable.Bathrooms supplied with TP and plenty of thick towels. Showers stocked with shampoo and conditioner. Hand soap at every sink. Full size washer and dryer in house with detergent. Plenty of hooks to hang things. Board games and cards for playing.Beautiful place with high ceilings. Three sitting areas inside and two outside. Had views of riverbed and saw many blue herons during our stay. Fire pit in the back. Quiet and relaxing. Amy, the host, is very responsive and helpful! There is a walking trail that takes you over to their farm with lots of fun animals to see. Just reach out to her and you'll be able to meet them! Highly recommend. Great for families and small groups. "

"Host allowed us to check-in an hour early. The main headline of this property — and the “popular amenities” section — highlights a hot tub, which was one of the main reasons we booked. I understand that things can break unexpectedly, but the hot tub issue was only disclosed one day before arrival (and only after I asked about it). By that time, rebooking wasn’t an option. What made the situation disappointing was not the breakdown itself, but the host’s dismissive and rude response when I asked for a price adjustment consideration.The setting is beautiful, the home was clean, and our kids loved the heated pool and fishing on the lake. However, there were other issues that impacted our stay:Wasps inside the home and nest in the screened in porch, creating a safety concern.Grill appeared not to have been cleaned in years.One downstairs bedroom had no curtains, so we had to cover the windows for the kids to sleep in.This property has great potential, but guest service matters. A little understanding and problem-solving would have gone a long way toward making this a great stay despite the hot tub being out of order."
