Cape Island Marina

When I checked in, my family and i went straight to my room, turned the lights and noticed some lights weren't working. Tried calling front desk, no answer. So we decided to take all our belongings and head back to front desk. That was about 20-30mins, got to the line for front desk/guest services and it was long. I stood in the line wasn't moving..had already stood in line for 25-30mins, asked my husband to come (who was with my kids), asked him if he could ask an associate in the Diamond member line about the room. They were able to take us, so I left the long line i was standing in and spoke to the associate at the Diamon member line. Told her the situation, and said because if lve been checked in for an hour, all they could do was put a ticket in and request for maintenence. I kindly said, ive been standing in that long line to speak to an associate for over 30mind..but before that tried calling twice. Anyways after all that, could change rooms, requested tech to come. They came within 1.5hrs later. The other issue was the pool, got to the pool after 12pm with the family, pool noy opened to 18 and under till 1pm. Left and came back after 1pm, got to front of the line, security asked for ID and also to empty our hydros that were just filled with water and ice. We get in, scanned room key and asked that the adults pay $10 each...Terrible experience! We left! Hotel guests shouldn't have to pay to use the pool. The kids were upset. Left and went to the beach instead!

I don't have no problem with the staff, the pool area was alright , the casino was horrible, the hotel need a update ASAP.

The rooms were clean and the Food court downstairs was a plus. Convenient location and house keeping was excellent. I couldn't get an answer from the front desk when I called several times. The room initially smelled like smoke although I had a non smoking room.. other than that it was a good hotel stay.
