This house was in the perfect location and accommodated our large group for a bachelorette party! The hosts were super friendly, accommodating, and communicative! We appreciated all the sleeping space and the screened in porch was so lovely. Very grateful we were able to stay!

Aunt Helen’s place offered all the comfort and historic charm we sought in Cape May. Great location, comfortable beds, and large open living space made for a nice stay for kids. The steps are steep to get to the second and third floor so had to use caution with kids and seniors.

Family Fun

Great location-- close to beach and shops. Nice first floor, clean bathrooms. Limited closet space and cooking supplies. 3rd floor great for kids.

Perfect!

Exceeded all of my expectations! Wonderful location with a quick walk to the beach and mall. Beautifully decorated yet comfortable and functional. My favorite spot was the rocking chairs on the porch. It was prefect for a girls weekend with plenty of room for everyone! Can't wait to visit Aunt Helen's House again soon!

Perfect location

Easy check-in and out. Good times (in 2pm, out 10am). Good mattresses! Slept very well. 2 of the built-in a/c units did not work, so window units were in Main bedroom and 3rd Fl. It did not cool adequately on 3rd floor (maybe it is too small for the space?) We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Windsor Ave!!

Summer 2019

We loved the screened porch. Spent endless hours there. The location is great. Three of the bedrooms are small so this property would not be suitable for people who travel with a lot of luggage but otherwise a great find.

Great location!!

We stayed with friends and family for a fall wedding! Jay and Beth were WONDERFUL hosts and communication couldn’t have been better. Our only concern was the crookedness within the house. The floors were a bit of hazard at night especially in the master front bedroom. For those sensitive to motion sickness I wouldn’t recommend. We understand the houses are historical and we do love their Old Cape May character. This is just a minor note we wanted to comment on for future guests to be aware of. The bikes were the BEST addition. We were able to walk and bike everywhere and it was just the best!!

19th Year on Windsor Avenue

As for any of the plus 160 year old houses, 238 Windsor Ave has its own unique charm. It was great for our family! Lots of room on the first floor to move around while the kids played with everything they brought. (Smiley Face) Everything was clean and just as we expected after getting quick answers to questions from the hosts. While with any older home there were a few minor adjustments to be made but our stay was an overwhelming success!! The updated bathrooms were a great help for this trip. If you forgot any beach needs or bikes, this house had them for you. It's was also fun to get to know our neighbors during our stay and great for the kids. One of the grandchildren was so sad to leave he kept locking us out of the house while we were packing the cars. Thank you Jay & Beth for being great responsive hosts and a wonderful stay!

Loved our family vacation!

We had a wonderful time at the beach staying in Aunt Helens house. The home was well kept and child friendly. I was very impressed when I saw the room with twin beds. They had bedrails available if needed and black out curtains! It was perfect for my toddler. The outdoor shower was wonderful for sandy kids and the hose was god send! We spent our evenings on the covered porch. The children loved watching the horses go by each evening. The owner was prompt with responses and made us feel welcomed. If traveling with young children, consider bringing a narrow baby gate for the stairs. The best part was parking the car once and never using it again. There are no spaces but it was not difficult to find parking close by.

Great find to vacation in Cape May

There are not many - if any - negatives to say about this rental in Cape May. The half-house is in excellent condition, and its location is close to all you would want - four blocks to the mall and four blocks to the ocean. The living room-dining room is an open style area with plenty of space. The screened in front porch is an ideal extra. The kitchen has all the modern comforts of home including a dishwasher which was used often by our family. (The refrigerator could have been larger to hold food for 11 people but we managed. Not really a big deal.) The four bedrooms upstairs were neat and the beds were comfortable. Some rooms did not have closets but there is a large closet in the hall for all your extra items. The upstairs bathroom, the main floor powder room and the outside shower were all in excellent condition. Overall, this was a fantastic place - one of the nicest places we have stayed in while on vacation. Highly recommended.

Girls Trip

Charming and convenient

Great location! It's walking distance to most things. Though the house is very old (as most there are), it's charming and has everything you need. Better living room sofas would be the only improvement I could suggest. We're thinking of having regular Cape May get-togethers and would happily stay there again!

Cape May August 2019

We had a great vacation. The house is very nice, combining the charm of a historic Cape May home with updated cool. I loved the large kitchen, and the open living room/dining room was so welcoming. The location is excellent: a couple blocks to the beach, shopping, and food. Beth was a wonderful host and went out of her way to ensure we enjoyed out stay. My family will definitely return in the future.

Great house in perfect Cape May location

The house was exactly as shown in the photos and very clean upon arrival. House was perfect for our family vacation - only blocks from beach, shopping and restaurants. This was our first visit to Cape May and definitely will be a repeater!

Great beach house

This is a great, roomy, clean, comfortable house. Living space is good for a group and the house is well equipped. There are no closets in the bedrooms but there is a walk in closet in the hallway which was more than enough room for clothes and suitcase storage. The owner is super helpful and responsive. Location is good - close to beach and the Washington street mall. Quiet neighborhood. Would definitely rent this house again.

Our Favorite

Cape May is our favorite getaway destination and Aunt Helen’s House is our favorite place to stay. Prime location to Congress Hall, Washington Street Mall and only 2.5 blocks from the boardwalk and the beach. You can’t beat the screened-in porch and beautifully updated living area.
