The Abbey - Historical Cape May Villa w/reno coming for summer 2023!

  • Cape May’s most photographed home, the John B McCreary House (the “Abbey”) built in 1869 for a wealthy Coal baron in the Gothic Revival style influenced by the great medieval churches of Europe is located at the historic district’s heart one block from town and the beach. The home will be undergoing extensive renovations this spring, with a new double height ceiling kitchen with a fireplace, new bathrooms, restored floors and a professional décor update to Cape May’s most spectacular home. Watch the horse drawn carriages go by from shaded porches and verandas and enjoy the use of a lawn large enough for small weddings on a extensive property with room for up to 10 cars right in the middle of downtown Cape May.
