Botany House Boutique Hotel is a lovely place to stay in Cape Town. One of its biggest advantages is its proximity to Table Mountain, making it very convenient for sightseeing. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well maintained, with a charming atmosphere both inside and around the property.
Breakfast was good and delicious, with slight variations each day to keep things interesting. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They were happy to serve breakfast either in your room or in the hotel's beautiful glasshouse, where guests typically check in.
Overall, it's a comfortable and picturesque boutique hotel that offers a peaceful stay in a convenient location.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Beautiful hotel but we had a number of issues. We booked a poolside room and was told upon arrival that the room has large ceiling windows with no blinds. Whilst this provides lots of light during the day and views of Table Mountain, we were woken up by the sunrise at 5am. Eye masks are offered as a solution. It was also a windy morning which caused loud banging/clicking noises from the interior door, which was apparently due to a cleaner leaving the front door open.
We also had a drainage issue in our shower which caused the bathroom to flood. After being assured that the issue had been fixed, we returned to the room to find that it had not.
We were offered to move to a garden room as the issue could not be immediately fixed. Unfortunately, this room had a strong drain smell coming from the bathroom. We did not bother raising this with the host as we just wanted to get on with our holiday at this point.
We also had a couple of minor issues which would ordinarily be forgotten about but added to the bad experience:
- A blind cord broke (to be fair this was fixed the same day)
- On the first day we asked for breakfast at 8am but did not receive it until after 8:30am.
The service was generally good otherwise and we were given some wine and chocolates as an apology for the flooding issues.
