Charming, centrally located house close to Carcassonne, perfect for families!

  • We are excited to reveal the beautiful renovations of Le Bijou, adding a beautiful downstairs living space with balcony, stunning views over the rooftops and vineyards and another comfortable bedroom for two! While our home won't be ready for the summer, please check back soon or message us for more details, photos and availability. We can't wait to welcome you back to your home away from home.

    Welcome to Le Bijou de Capendu, a true gem in the South of France! This completely renovated home, with modern furnishings, is situated at the very heart of Capendu, a village circulade at the foot of Mount Alaric and just 15 minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Cite Medievale of Carcassonne.

    With magnificent views over the vineyards and conveniently located to all the tourist attractions, our home is a perfect vacation spot for 2-5 guests. Positioned next to 10th century ruins and belltower, the village offers all of the basic amenities, including a community pool (currently closed for renovations) and supermarket, boulangerie, parmacy. The nearby town of Trebes has additional restaurants, supermarkets and shops to explore.

    With a bright and comfortable living/dining area with TV and wifi, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and WC, sleeping 4-5, Le Bijou has all the amenities you need to make your holiday comfortable. Capendu is conveniently located 15 minutes from Carcassonne and it's airport (budget flights from the UK and other European cities) and train station (with trains to Barcelona and Paris). The international airport of Toulouse is 60 minutes drive away. The beautiful city of Narbonne and the Mediterranean is 30 minutes away, and the spectacular Cathar sites and wine region of the Languedoc Roussillon region are all within a short drive.

    For outdoor enthusiasts, the Canal du Midi and the Aude River are a short 2km walk away, and mountain biking and hiking trails are close by.
