"Cabin 1 was like being at summer camp. The cabin had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The best feature about the visit was the sandy beach and swim pond right behind the cabin. My family loved swimming and using the zip line! Mr. Tom was a very sweet host. The cabin was very close to many points of interest and the city."

Owl's Nest is a perfect getaway in the woods with lakes nearby. Pet friendly!

"We very much enjoyed our stay over the weekend. The house was spotless, and checkin was very easy.Bedrooms were roomy and the beds were all very comfortable. The fenced backyard was great for the pups to roam around and explore. There was treats and toys for the puts so they would enjoy their stay as well.Laura was very quick to respond to a question we had and that was very much appreciated. Only thing missing was the hot tub that was in description but not a big deal for us.Would definitely stay again."

"The cabin’s interior was clean and tidy, with eclectic decor and a working pinball machine (so fun!). There is central air that works very well and stands up to that southern Illinois humidity. The shower was perfect for my 6’5 husband and had great water pressure. You’re surrounded by deep woods but only a few minutes outside of Carbondale, a short drive to Giant City, and all of the other great places in the area. The cabin was a bit hard to find at first, while there was signage, it still wasn’t clear to us where it was (user error? Long drive fatigue?). It’s set back a bit in the woods but once you find it, it looks like the pictures in the listing. Very cool spot and a great value for the cost. Good space for a couple to stay and relive the So Ill memories!"
