The property was ok, I arrived at the hotel to find it closed. No notice of this from the hotel. I call the hotel, and am informed I have been "upgraded" to a different hotel, Montmercy. This hotel was older and the facilties were interesting to say the least. Wifi was horrible, about 6 inches between the front of the toilet and the sink. I would not have chosen this hotel
When we arrived at this hotel we were told that our reservation had been changed to another hotel further up the town. We had booked a large room with a double and a twin for extra space and comfort. When we arrived at the 2nd hotel we were sent to an annexe across the road from the main part of the hotel. Here we found that the room was a standard double. When I rang reception I was told that this was an upgrade. I informed her that we had booked a large double originally. She was then miraculously able to find such a room quite close to the original room she put us in. We had been traveling since 9 p.m. the previous evening without sleep so this was not the check in we expected
Modern hotel Steps away from castle. The outside swimming pool is lovely. Very good air conditioning.
We are family of three with teenager and the room was very small. We stayed for one night only on our way to south.
The staff were friendly and the room was immaculately clean. Aside from breakfast there was no real food service, but there are lots of restaurants in both the old and new towns - although be aware that out of season these generally close around 10pm.

When we arrived at the hotel they said they had no record of our reservation through Expedia though my credit card had been charged for the room. I don't know if this was an Expedia problem or the hotel gave our room to someone else. The woman at the desk tried very hard to get to the bottom of this but we had to go to a different and much more expensive hotel.
The location to the old city of Carcassonne was perfect - less than a five minute walk. The pool was amazing; salt water, perfect temperature. Room was small, but manageable.
What a delightful little hotel just outside the gates to Le Cite. It was perfect for our family with multiple rooms within our accommodation. The small pool was perfect for cooling off in the afternoon and for the children to have a break from walking and history.
Good location, strong AC, quiet, helpful staff. Not so good- no mini fridge in room, room very small and getting to shower in the bathtub involved too much climbing.
Very good location, only one minute away from the castle and a few minutes walk into the main square of the newer city of Carcassone. Modern room, clean but quite small, sadly no view from the window.

Great location, rooms very small, tired bathrooms need updating, white towels need boiling/bleaching as they weren't white. Carcassonne, fabulous
Very modern hotel near eateries and a short walk to the old bridge and castle. Good access tho you’ll have to pay for parking (but very secure and convenient)
Stayed at L'Octroi with another couple after booking two rooms on hotel.com. We arrived first and were allocated room 170 which appeared to be one of two rooms located on the ground floor. The room was relatively comfortable but there's only a window to the internal 'garden' which lets little light in and we had an issue with mosquitos coming from the bathroom all night possibly from the sink. In contrast, our friends had room 347 (from memory) which was excellent with glimpses of the castle and seemed to be more of a room than the dinghy closet we had. Overall the hotel was nice and modern with a great little pool but check pricing on drinks before ordering as they are ridiculous!
Small hotel 5 minutes walk to old City.... rooms were small but perfectly adequate. Nice little pool for a dip at the end of a hot days sightseeing.
The reception staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was good and plentiful.
Friendly and helpful staff, great location just outside the Cite, clean, comfortable, modern and well maintained, and with a lovely swimming pool and outdoor area. Perfect for relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

Nice hotel in a good location; too small room, and it was a large one
