Plenty of parking in free car parks or on the road directly outside. Staff were ok, you have to check in at the bar which was very busy when I arrived. I struggled with 2 bags, a very wet coat and an umbrella but no offer to help me carry anything. She pointed me in the direction of my room. It would of been nice if she’d helped me with the doors. As I was soaked from the rain I got straight in the lovely, spacious, modern, warm shower. When getting out and sitting on the bed I discovered my tv had no signal and there was no WiFi code in the room either. Also no phone to ring down and ask. As I wasn’t going to get dressed and dry my hair to walk into a very busy bar I had to spend my evening with neither. Lots of tea, coffee and shortbread in the room. The bed was soooo comfortable, and even though my room overlooked the road it was perfectly quiet. No blackout curtains or air con which were both stated but luckily I didn’t need either. Most of the room was spotless however the headboard and lamp were thick with dust. Breakfast was delightful, freshly cooked, great sausages, best scrambled egg I’ve had in a hotel. Cereal was available too. With a couple of minor improvements it could be excellent. I would stay again.
