Lovely rooms with balconies. Very spacious and comfortable however they don’t have enough power points for guests to use. No stocked minibar and there was no room service menu in my room or any info about what the hotel offered or info about the city. As I waited in line to check in one male member of staff looked straight at me and walked away as if customers are not their job. The female receptionist who helped me was very nice and helpful. For a 5 star hotel I would expect a lot better amenities in the rooms and better customer care all round. Also the hotel car park used to be free and now charges £24 a night. Overall disappointed at how this hotel has become a save money at the expense of your customers comfort and experience.

Had a problem in our first room but was dealt with quick and moved. The view was amazing the only thing missing was somewhere to sit on the balcony Breakfast had so much to choice from.

Great experience. We arrived early so our room wasn’t ready yet but we got to enjoy the spa while we waited. Loved the hot tub and infrared room. The pool was a bit too cold for me so I didn’t go in but it looked clean. I just wished you could go from the hotel to the spa without having to exit the building, especially when it’s cold outside. Staff was friendly and the concierge super helpful in securing a taxi and getting some directions for some activities. The room was clean and we appreciated that it had two chairs. The only negative we had was the food. I purchased dinner to go. The staff was accommodating but the burger and the chicken sandwich did not have much flavor. Other than that though it was a great experience and we would highly recommend this hotel. In the Cardiff Bay Area, super close to many great restaurants. A short Uber ride away from Cardiff central.

Great hotel - nice bayside location, friendly staff good rooms with balconies. Loved it! Parking is expensive but that’s just the area not the fault of the hotel!

If you're looking for a city break in Cardiff then Cardiff Bay is a great location. I especially liked the location of voco St David's because it has the wetlands nature reserve on one side where you can sit and enjoy birdsong and a low key beauty. And on the other side it has pubs, bars, chain restaurants, statues, interesting buildings like the Parliament and the church where Ronald Dahl was christened. The rooms have a floor to ceiling window leading to a balcony with a great view over the bay. Balcony doors are heavy and if you go out at night to take a picture wear shoes. I was in flip flops and skinned my big toe on the door. I'm clumsy, it's not the door. The spa is included for guests. I didn't book treatments but I did enjoy the large swimming pool and the hydrotherapy pool. It's excellent. Clean, spacious, friendly spa staff. I even went down the next morning and got a plaster for my toe from the spa reception. I had breakfast in my room. Can recommend. I ordered vegetarian sausages hoping they would be traditional Glamorgan sausages and they were! The food was perfectly seasoned but I wish they had put a salt and pepper shaker on the tray. I like extra pepper on my eggs and extra salt on my fried mushrooms. That did not stop me from eating every mouthful. It was very well cooked and seas

Very nice hotel we stayed here a few times. Only downside is the £24 parking you pay on top of the price of the stay. That’s the downside. Scandalous price to pay to park

Great location for a weekend in Cardiff
Long family weekend away in Cardiff. Hotel is in a great location - we loved the bay area - lots of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops nearby not to mention some amazing buildings (Millennium centre, the Welsh senate, Pierhead and the little Norwegian Church). The staff were extremely helpful and we even got a free drink in the bar on our first night. Breakfast was plentiful with a lovely view over the bay. We ate dinner in the restaurant on our final night and the food was excellent. Didn't use the spa but the pool was great (along with sauna and massive jacuzzi) and the gym was well equipped. Our only gripe is that our room was like a sauna - the air conditioning seemed to be broken, which we mentioned on our first evening and were given a cooling fan/machine. The thermostat never registered below 23 degrees though no matter what we did and with no other means of ventilation (no windows to open) we were cooking. Other floors had balconies which would have provided some fresh air at least. Would definitely return though - lovely hotel and great location.

We were greeted by the most friendly staff. The room was enormous and so well decorated. It felt high value. We had a room over looking the bay so the view was beautiful. Staff were very helpful when we needed a taxi booked. Room service was speedy and the food was incredible and well priced for what we got. 3am pizza was an unexpected highlight on the trip. The bathroom was really nice. Everything felt clean. Complimentary tea and coffee in the room was nice and the mini fridge keeping milk and water and cool was a nice addition. Check-in and out were both speedy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area. Will definitely be back.

Nice hotel
Great staff. Breakfast and dinner very good. Room large with 2 armchairs. Coffee machine a nice touch but not enough tea / milk provided although staff from room service staff provided more when requested. Hotel looks a little tired I would say more 4 than 5 star. Hotel has great views over the bay but is about 30 minute walk into town

Nice hotel, staff were really nice at check in, the walls are very thin so you hear the people talking in the next room, that was not helpful when I really needed sleep and couldn’t sleep at all

We booked it to have a one night family stay and use spa facilities - to our disappointment - when we arrived , we were informed that spa is closed , we can’t use it .. not great for the price we paid and not able to use full facilities of the hotel … very poor..

Wouldn't rush back
Not a great start to our stay. £24 for 24 hours to park the car I think is extortionate. The room should have been ready at 3pm but it wasn't. However when we got to the room it was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food.

A brilliant bay location, great views and a fantastic hotel. All staff were amazing, the food in the restaurant was excellent. Great for walking or for shopping with a great selection of pubs and restaurants very close by. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
