"Anstey is an amazing host, very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area, and communication throughout was excellent. We stayed here as a family of four, two young kids aged 3 and 6, we all immediately felt at home, the cottage is spacious and well curated, as well as being clean and tidy. The cottage is well equipped with pretty much everything you would need, there was even toys for kids inside and out and great outdoor space for the kids to play, there is a nice decking area with a table, chairs and a parasol. Location is excellent and a great base to explore the local areas, it is close to castle Douglas foe food shopping and much more."

"A fantastic cottage in a lovely rural location. Secure garden so my dogs could run freely. Small dogs however will get through fence to sheep field. Lovely spacious hot tub. Underfloor heating kept the cottage toasty warm. Lots of kitchen equipment to cook in, spacious fridge / freezer for supplies, Tesco do deliver here. Overall a perfect place to unwind from a busy lifestyle."
